Hard to Score<\/i> is the third book in the Play Hard<\/a><\/i>\u00a0series featuring the third Kincade daughter, Brexton. Even though two of her sisters have found love, Brexton isn\u2019t sure it\u2019s in the cards for her. She is focused on doing a kickass job working for her family company, Kincade Sports Management and doesn\u2019t have time for relationships. At least that\u2019s the case before a certain someone comes back into her life.<\/p>\n

Brexton and Drew met as children and their families did everything together. They were best friends who shared a moment that could have been the beginning of something great if their lives didn\u2019t change in a blink of an eye. Years later, Brexton and Drew bump into each other and that spark is still there even though Drew has been told to hate the Kincade family. Now, they have a chance to see what they could have been if they can only they keep it quiet.<\/p>\n

Hard to Score<\/i> is a forbidden sports romance that is sweet, swoony, and surprising. The storyline is captivating and the characters are fantastic. I was easily invested in Brexton and Drew, and was rooting for their happily-ever-after.<\/p>\n

Brexton is awesome at her job. She is personable and sweet but has a backbone when it comes to dealing with guys who think they are God\u2019s gift to women. She can hold her own while doing what she enjoys. Drew is sweet, swoony, and such a great guy. He\u2019s a fantastic football player but he has been riding the bench during his career do to a scandal involving his father. He seems to be judged at every turn and doesn\u2019t have many people rooting for him. That all changes when he sees Brexton again.<\/p>\n

Drew and Brexton have an immediate attraction when they meet again but he refuses to act on it because it goes against everything his family has told him. Their once best friends are now the enemy and though Drew doesn\u2019t have the best relationship with his family, they still mean everything to him.<\/p>\n

However, Brexton surprises him. They connect in a way he hasn\u2019t felt since they were kids. They really enjoy each other\u2019s company and their friendship grows. I love that Brexton makes Drew believe in himself. She knows he\u2019s amazing and she can\u2019t stop from reminding him every chance she gets.\u00a0She gets him to think of things about himself in a different light and pushes him to fight for what he loves. She makes him want to be the best he can be.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou made me start to believe. You made me want. And now I have to figure out what the hell that means.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

When they attraction is too hard to deny, they take a chance and they are delicious together. Not only are they fantastic in the bedroom, their friendship becomes stronger than ever as they get to know each other again, and they truly enjoy who they both have become. It\u2019s not easy though and they have to work around seeing each other but they make the best of it. Keeping it quiet just makes it hotter and a bit more suspenseful as I waited for the other shoe to drop.<\/p>\n

I can only hope that when the dust settles from the impending explosion I predict is on the horizon, I\u2019m still standing here. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There are twists I didn\u2019t see coming and a bit of mystery about what went down between the two families. I was flipping pages as fast as I could not only to get to the romance but also to get the truth about the past. The flashbacks were really well done and they added a wonderful element to the story.<\/p>\n

Overall, I really enjoyed Hard to Score<\/i>. Though it\u2019s part of a series, it can definitely standalone. It\u2019s actually the first book I have read of the series and now, I want to go back and read Hard to Handle<\/i> and Hard to Hold<\/i> because I want more the Kincades! And I am so looking forward to Hard to Lose<\/i>, featuring the last of the Kincade sisters to find love!<\/p>\n
