I loved it!<\/p>\n Tucker is the third of a trio of vampire friends that have had their stories told in this series. He is the jokester of the group \u2013 rarely serious, and a total scene stealer in the previous books \u2013 and in the last book he got a glimpse of a woman that pretty much flipped his world upside down.<\/p>\n Mary is a fairy who has been kept secluded by her mother for pretty much her entire life. She is blind and somewhat sheltered, and is being traded into marriage with an evil vampire in the hopes that her marriage will reunite her family and her people, though it comes with the side effect of allowing her new husband to fight for a claim to the vampire throne. Mary may be powerful, curious, and a little bit quirky, but she\u2019s been brainwashed into accepting her fate as a privilege, and with pretty much no \u2018real\u2019 life experience to give her perspective, she hasn\u2019t even considered refusing.<\/p>\n From the moment Tucker and Mary meet, they both feel a pull to the other, which makes things super awkward when he is roped into the job of driving her across the country for her upcoming nuptials. But it does set the scene for an entertaining road trip as the two of them embark upon their journey.<\/p>\n \u201cI call you \u2018kid\u2019 to remind myself to stop noticing how pretty you are,\u201d he said quietly. \u201cThat\u2019s not for me to notice, Mary. You\u2019re not mine to look at. Or touch. And it\u2019s reminding me of that, too.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n She may be blind, but Mary\u2019s eyes are opened wide on her trip as she experiences life for the first time \u2013 and Tucker is right there by her side, facilitating her journey. They talk, they laugh, they live, they share about their pasts and what they truly want for their lives, all while fighting off bad guys and dealing with their growing attraction to each other. It\u2019s beautifully written, and there is true emotion between them, which I could really feel.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d fight the world if you asked me.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n It\u2019s such a gorgeous romance. There is a paranormal element to it, which allows it to be super serious, super fast, and I was right on board. I was feeling the feels, I was loving the chemistry, and the sexy time is all kinds of steamy. I enjoyed Tucker and Mary together so much.<\/p>\n \u201cMy blindness has been a curse my whole life. But you don\u2019t make it feel like that. You fill my head with beauty. You make me feel like I\u2019m <\/i>already whole. Like I don\u2019t need to change a single thing to be accepted or loved.\u201d *dreamy sigh*<\/p>\n But the countdown to the end of their time together is looming, and while Mary is facing an unknown future, Tucker is facing immortality without the woman he knows is his. There are so many different factors at play which shape their story, and it\u2019s intriguing and exciting watching it all unfold, and it\u2019s super emotional as they figure out what their happy ending looks like, and what they\u2019re willing to sacrifice to get it.<\/p>\n \u201cYou are the first and the last. The only one I\u2019ll ever want or need or lust for. You\u2019re mine, Mary. Not matter what, <\/i>you are mine.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m staying with you,\u201d she whispered. \u201cYou\u2019re keeping me and I\u2019m keeping you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I really loved this story. It\u2019s a great mix of fun, exciting, dramatic and romantic. Tucker and Mary are fantastic characters who come together beautifully, and I loved their love story. The twists and turns in their story are so entertaining, and there\u2019s a nice amount of action, intrigue and paranormal badassery which make this a really exciting read.<\/p>\n Characters from the previous book appear, and I loved seeing them again as they stand by Tucker\u2019s side through it all, and the series finishes with a gorgeously happy ending for Tucker and Mary, wrapping up the series really nicely.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve really enjoyed this series, and this book is such a great read.
