4 more swoony stars<\/strong><\/p>\n

This book is a direct continuation of Natalie and Flynn\u2019s story which began in\u00a0Virtuous. In order to avoid spoilers, I’m going to try and keep this vague, but make sure you read book 1 first!<\/p>\n

This book picks up immediately where\u00a0Virtuous<\/em>\u00a0left off, with Natalie reeling from a devastating betrayal. This book has a darker tone than the first one as the horrors of Natalie\u2019s past are fully revealed, and she has to deal with it in a way she could never have imagined. The scenes are heartbreaking, but the way that Flynn stands by her, along with his friends and family, is absolutely beautiful.<\/p>\n

But not even devastation such as that can stop true love, and Natalie and Flynn\u2019s relationship keeps zooming forward at a great pace. They are amazing together and they have a wonderfully functional relationship with lots of communication and sharing of feelings, and it\u2019s so refreshing to read. Once again, it\u2019s uber romantic with lots of swoony moments, lots of \u2018awwwwww\u2019 moments, and this time around, a whole heap of sexy time!<\/p>\n

But Flynn is still keeping a big secret from her \u2026<\/p>\n

My inner dominant hovers on the razor\u2019s edge, wanting to break free and take what\u2019s mine. I want to own her, possess her, rule her. I want every part of her, and I want her to surrender to me in every possible way.
\nBut more than that, I want her to never be afraid of me, so I suppress my driving natural inclinations and give her the softness, the sweetness and the love she needs and deserves.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

His continued silence is a thorn in his side, he knows he\u2019s essentially lying to the woman he loves and it definitely doesn\u2019t sit well with him. I can completely understand where he\u2019s coming from though \u2013 he loves Natalie more than life, and he wants nothing more than to protect her and make her happy, so he has made this sacrifice for her, truly believing it\u2019s for the best, and you have to admire what he\u2019s willing to do for his girl.<\/p>\n

It had come down to a choice \u2013 her or the lifestyle. I\u2019d chosen her. I\u2019d choose her every time. I need her more. It\u2019s that simple.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But his secret isn\u2019t going to stay hidden, and I read with a great sense of anticipation, knowing that there would have to come a moment of confrontation and just waiting to see how it\u2019s all going to play out. Add to that a new drama unfolding that threatens their happiness , and it looks like the fairy tale might just be over.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m really enjoying Flynn and Natalie\u2019s story. I felt that this instalment had a bit more depth to it, and I liked it even more than the first. But even with the added drama in this book, it\u2019s still essentially a fluff-fest filled with sensational romance, lots of starry eyed declarations and passionate encounters. It\u2019s a book where you need to suspend reality for just a little bit and get swept up in the wonder and romance of an all-consuming love.<\/p>\n

The story ends on yet another cliffy (this one worse than the first), but it sets up the final instalment of the series really well, and I\u2019m excited to see how Flynn and Natalie will deal with this final hurdle between them and their happy ever after.<\/p>\n

I loved it \u2013 4 stars.<\/p>\n
