This is the first book in a new trilogy by Piper Lawson, a billionaire, enemies-to-lovers story with chemistry, drama and intensity, and the start of what is sure to be an exciting love story.<\/p>\n

This trilogy is a spin-off from Lawson\u2019s Love Song\/Rivals Series<\/i>, and there is character crossover. It\u2019s clear that the side characters have had their stories told (and there\u2019s definitely potential there for more), but this one can be read as a standalone.<\/p>\n

Reagan is a successful young DJ whose career has started to implode after she posted an online rant about a club she worked at. She accepts a short-term job at a club in Ibiza hoping it will help get her back in the game, but when she arrives she learns that the club that just so happens to be run by Harrison King, the same billionaire who owns the club that she dissed online. So now, stuck in Ibiza and desperate for money, she has no choice but to stay put – in Harrison\u2019s house no less. And he\u2019s a controlling man who is used to getting what he wants.<\/p>\n

From the very beginning, the chemistry between Harrison and Reagan sizzles, but neither of them are looking to get involved. Harrison\u2019s work is his life, and he is ten years older than Raegan, but that doesn\u2019t stop the snarky flirting and banter.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can flirt with me, Raegan,\u201d he drawls. \u201cI\u2019ll even enjoy it. But if you want me to treat you like my equal, you\u2019d better be ready for all that comes with it.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There\u2019s quite a bit of back and forth as they tease, but both of them are holding back from the other, which brings some angst. Things slowly escalate, and as attraction blossoms we start to see the softer side of Harrison. He clearly cares about Rae, and those moments where we get to see more<\/i> of him are really gorgeous. It\u2019s a sign of his growing feelings, and combined with the mad lust between them, the sexual tension builds gradually throughout the book, and it\u2019s all kinds of hot.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou think you can teach me about sex?\u201d
\n\u201cNo. I think I can teach you about yourself.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But Rae is only in town temporarily, and Harrison\u2019s focus is on expanding his empire \u2013 partially to ensure his success, partially for sentimental reasons, and partially for cold, hard vengeance. There\u2019s a lot at stake as he works to secure the deal of his lifetime, and his past is about to spill over into all aspects of his life, in ways he never expected.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a bit of a twisty road for these two, and while I wouldn\u2019t class this as a romance just yet, there\u2019s this feeling like you\u2019re embarking on a journey that has so much potential. It\u2019s only just begun and my mind is spinning with theories, and I\u2019m excited to continue with their story.<\/p>\n
