I loved the first book, Kissing Tolstoy and I am happy to say that the second book, Kissing Galileo is just as good!

Emily is working in a lingerie shop where she models the clothing when her professor walks in. She recognizes him immediately but he has no idea that she is his student. Once it’s out in the open, things are strained between them. Emily would love to be more than just friends, but Victor is adamant that’s all they can be.

It’s a delicious, slow burn, friends-to-lovers romance that is more than just a love story. And, like the first book, this story brings us a unique twist on the teacher/student romance and I couldn’t put it down.

I love Emily and Victor both separately as well as together. The character depth is well written and it makes them so interesting. Victor is a professor whose outward appearance isn’t how he feels on the inside. He isn’t the typical hero who gets all the girls. He’s so much more than meets the eye and has a lot of insecurities and inexperience. His vulnerabilities is what really drew me to him.

Emily is a hardworking student who makes money by modeling lingerie. She’s not exactly embarrassed by her job but she keeps it to herself. She is a kind person who takes the time to get to know people and she doesn’t judge them. I really enjoyed her and would love to know her in real life!

The banter between Emily and Victor is great and the sexual tension is high but they try to be just friends as it’s what is needed at the moment. Both are so smart and they challenge each other. I love when they truly open up because there is so much growth and acceptance in this story. It deals with finding self-worth, self-love, trust, and bravery as well as opening your heart to love. It’s the flaws and vulnerabilities of these characters make them relatable and real and had me rooting for them from the beginning.

“This is not me. Don’t you think everyone does?”

Overall, I loved Kissing Galileo and think it is a fantastic addition to this series.
