Another fun, romantic and heartfelt book from Kayley Loring!<\/p>\n

The third book in the Brooklyn Book Boyfriends<\/i> series, this is a complete standalone, with no character crossover, except a random mention of a character from a previous book, so feel free to dive in \u2013 though do read the first two books, just because they are also fantastic reads.<\/p>\n

Chase and Aimee meet in a local bar, and for both of them it is pretty much love at first sight. They are instantly attracted, and their banter and flirting is fantastic. Until Chase\u2019s best friend and business partner, Keaton enters the bar and sets his sights on Aimee. Doing what he thinks is the right thing, Chase backs off and leaves the two of them to it, leaving the bar, and his broken heart behind.<\/p>\n

It takes Aimee a month to politely get rid of Keaton\u2019s attention, and that\u2019s when she learns that her new job will be working with the two boys on their start-up company. Awkward! But before she has a chance to let either of the boys know, she meets Chase again in the same bar, and all of that chemistry comes flaring back to life (not that it ever really left), and they agree to spend one night together \u2013 one night that is fun, sweet, meaningful, sexy, and super passionate, and that rocks both of their worlds. Chase is ready for more, but everything between them is turned on its head when she surprises both boys when she shows up to work the next day.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s an interesting set-up, establishing a forbidden-ish\/loving-from-afar situation that is full of chemistry and longing. We all know how the story is going to end, the fun is in watching it happen as all of the flirting, meaningful stares and secret kisses create a wonderful sense of excited anticipation.<\/p>\n

\u201cI convinced myself that you were all wrong for me, and maybe you are. I convinced myself that I\u2019d meet someone I like more than you, and maybe I still will. But I can\u2019t seem to fall out of love with what could have been.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Yes, the \u2018love at first sight\u2019 thing is a little extreme, but I was happy to go along with it, and I was fully on board with Chase and Aimee. What I love about these two together is the way they don\u2019t hold back their attraction. They want each other, they don\u2019t hide it from each other, and their honest and upfront declarations are fantastic, especially when they finally make the decision to go all in. It\u2019s so sweet.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want to know what I thought when I first saw you?\u201d
\n\u201cOh God, I don\u2019t know. Do I? What?\u201d
\n\u201cI thought you were the most beautiful woman I\u2019d ever seen, and I thought to myself: \u2018Wow. So this is what love at first sight feels like.\u2019\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I could have done without the whole Keaton issue. I would have preferred Chase to stand strong and pursue Aimee from the beginning, but it\u2019s a weird dynamic that the two friends have, and watching Chase find the strength to stand up to his best friend and claim the woman that he loves was a great part of his journey.<\/p>\n

This was a quick read, and a really enjoyable one. A great addition to the series, and a good lead-in to Keaton and Roxy\u2019s story up next!<\/p>\n
