As a fan of all things Addicted\/Like Us<\/em>\u00a0I hate that I didn’t love this book. I rated the previous book in the series 5 stars! But as much as I loved being back with this fantastic group of characters, I just don\u2019t think we needed this book.<\/p>\n

I admit, I was reluctantly dragged onto the Kitsulletti train. I was wary of the triad relationship, and was concerned about how it would work between these three characters. But I was won over, and I really came to love and appreciate Sulli, Akara and Banks together. I could feel the chemistry, the relationship made sense for the characters, and I loved how easily and naturally they came together. As much as I enjoyed their story, I really didn\u2019t feel like they needed a third book, but I dove in anyway, not wanting to miss anything in this world.<\/p>\n

The main focus of this book is the fallout from the triad\u2019s \u2018coming out\u2019 to the public. The press, of course, is all over them, they are dealing with a whole lot of nastiness on social media and dangerous \u2018fans\u2019. And as they stand strong together, Sulli, Banks and Akara settling into life together, cementing their relationship, and coming to accept what their relationship means for them publicly, and for their futures going forward.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re not letting anyone get to us. They won\u2019t break us apart. They won\u2019t hurt us. They won\u2019t win.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They are completely solid, I really like that there was no \u2018drama for the sake of drama\u2019 thrown into their relationship, and some of their scenes together made me smile. The romance was lovely, if a bit cheesy, though I admit there were times when I wondered just why<\/i> the boys love Sulli so much. She comes off as a bit immature and annoying, and though I love both Banks and Akara (and loved getting to explore their relationship a bit more), I still found it difficult to warm to her. But they\u2019re happy and madly in love, so I just went with it.<\/p>\n

\n\u201cFor falling in love with me.\u201d
\n\u201cYou don\u2019t need to thank me for loving you, mermaid. My love for you isn\u2019t a gift that can be given and taken away. It\u2019s just eternally there, and it\u2019s yours to do with what you want.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There\u2019s also Sulli competing in the Olympics, which was actually kind of exciting, there are changes coming for Sulli, Banks and Akara, and of course there is drama external to the triad – most of which is more of what we\u2019ve seen in previous books, but there is some closure there as the three of them resolve issues among their families and friends. But on the whole, it was really slow moving, and the events of this book could have been combined into the previous book, or even condensed into an epilogue after the last book, and I would have been satisfied with that. Instead, it dragged, and we got lots of detail on things that we didn\u2019t really need to see, and that probably won\u2019t have much impact on the series going forward.<\/p>\n

Though having said that, I was so glad we got the chance to see this epic moment on a Meadows family holiday…<\/p>\n

\nRyke goes motionless like someone just threw a grenade at his feet. I scratch the back of my head, doing the thing I shouldn\u2019t do\u2014and I\u2019m making eye contact with her dad.
\nHe\u2019s glaring like he\u2019s partially in shock but mostly protective, and I read his expression as,<\/em> you hurt my daughter, you\u2019re fucking dead.
\nI did not hurt your daughter with my cock, sir\u2014that is what I don\u2019t fucking say. Mostly because Akara is shooting me daggers to shut the fuck up<\/em>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I finished this book wondering why the Ritchies are dragging out this series way longer than it needs to be? This is book #10 in the series, and we\u2019ve only gotten books for four relationships. There are so many incredible characters just begging to have their stories told, and I would much rather be exploring them than just revisiting the same people over and over again. I mean, Connor\/Rose and Ryke\/Daisy didn\u2019t even get this many books! Oscar and Jack got one, and that was definitely enough. And as excited as I am to read about Luna and Donnelly up next, I\u2019m kinda dreading the three-book slog that will be their love story. I\u2019ll still definitely read it, I\u2019d just prefer if things moved a bit faster.<\/p>\n

So, still a good read, I still loved the dynamics and the love story. It was just a bit slow and unnecessary for me.<\/p>\n
