Lexi loves her late friend\u2019s dog, Rudy, and has been taking care of the sweet pup for months. Now, Carter Shepard is in town for the dog that he inherited when his uncle passed. Lexi doesn\u2019t want to give Rudy up but it seems she has no choice.<\/p>\n

Carter plays baseball and is a player on and off the field.\u00a0When he needs to better his image for a sponsor he is trying to land, he comes up with the perfect plan: have the wholesome librarian, Lexi, play his fake fianc\u00e9e until Christmas Eve and in return she will get the dog she loves. Sounds like a win-win situation. Right?<\/p>\n

I love that Lexi loves Rudy the way she does. She is so good to him and I understood her resistance to give him to Carter even though she legally has too. I also understood why she goes along with the crazy plan Carter thinks up.<\/p>\n

Lexi and Carter are hilarious together. They are complete opposites but Carter figures out a way to get Lexi on board with his plan and they are great as a pretend couple even though Lexi is convinced no one would buy their relationship.<\/p>\n

Carter really turns up his game and is the swooniest fake fianc\u00e9 Lexi could have. He\u2019s doing everything right and it gets harder for Lexi to fight the chemistry they have. Slowly the fake turns real but there was always an ending date.<\/p>\n

There is little drama and a whole lot of laughs and heat in this story. I loved getting a front row seat to their romance and they don\u2019t disappoint. I also love Uncle Joe and his part in the story. The ending is perfect and we get more of all the character\u2019s we love from Reindeer Falls!!<\/p>\n
