Absolutely, freaking, LOVE it! She sucks me in from the very first page, and I am instantly transported into another world where I am shocked, horrified, scared, I laugh, I want to cry, I fall in love, and I get so angry I want to hurl my kindle. And I cannot get enough of it!

The third book in the Undeniable series gives us the story of Cage, the gorgeous, manwhoring son of club President, Deuce, and Tegen. Tegen’s mother’s Dorothy is a long-term fixture at the MC and Tegen was raised in the club, and she and Cage grew up together, the closest of friends until it all fell apart when Tegen gave Cage her virginity at 16, told him she loved him, and he dismissed her. Nurturing her heartbreak, Tegen proceeded to ignore Cage, and then went off to college, completely changed everything about herself (now sporting dreads, piercings, tatts, and a whole lot of hemp), and became a bitter and angry smartass. Frequently referred to as “that mouthy little shit”, she is not shy about letting anybody and everybody know how she feels about the “fucking club full of drug dealers and murderers”.

And then there is Cage. According to Tegen, Cage is “the cockiest, most self-centred, self-serving, egotistical, narcissistic, and depraved motherfucker I’d ever met in my life”, and yeah, she is probably not wrong. But there is more to him. He is tired of club whores and of feeling like he has nothing. Living in the shadow of his neglectful, dismissive father, he has a massive chip on his shoulder, and a lot of anger, but he also has a soft spot for the girl he calls “Teacup”. And when she comes back to town and starts mouthing off at him as usual, he sees something more behind her her anger (“You’re still feelin’ me, Teacup.”) and the chemistry between them explodes into hot and steamy sex. Cage finally feels the connection he’s been missing, and before he knows it, he’s discovering things he’s never felt before.

“Tegen, that’s a hot piece of ass.”
Cage’s already rising temper flared to life and his arm shot out. Gripping Cox’s shirt collar, he pulled them nose to nose. “My hot piece of ass,” he growled. “Which you do not fuckin’ talk about.”
Cage froze. What?
What the fuck?
Why the fuck…
Where in motherfucking-shit-fucking-hell-fucking bullshit had that come from?

And it doesn’t take too long before he gets all badass, biker swoony, as only a biker can …

“I’m layin’ fuckin’ claim to you, Tegen, every single fuckin’ part of you, right the fuck now.”
“You can’t have any part of me!” I cried, trying to turn my head but his grip on my hair was too tight. Grunting, he yanked my head backward, forcing me to look up at him.
“Wrong,” he growled. “I’ve always had you. Only difference is now, I’m takin’ you.”

“Take it, Teacup,” he said hoarsely. “Be my girl.”

Admittedly still desperately in love with Cage, and despite her anger, Tegen is helpless against him. But it’s anything but an easy road for these two. With so much passion between them, and so much against them, they have a horrific time trying to sort themselves out with all of the roadblocks in their way, and my heart broke over and over for them as they tried to find their way – especially Cage as he tried so hard to deal with Tegen’s anger over the past.

“Don’t do this,” he said quietly. “Don’t keep leavin’ like this. I can’t fuckin’ stand it.”
My heart began to pound.
“Why do you care?” I whispered. “You don’t even know me anymore.” …
“I know you,” he said … “But now … Every time you come home, you treat me like shit on your fuckin’ shoe, and, babe, I can’t fuckin’ stand it.”

Having met Cage and Tegen in previous books of the series, I was looking forward to getting to know them better. Cage is definitely an interesting one, and I’ve loved him from the start, but Tegen has irritated me when I have seen her before. And, to be honest, she irritated me in this one too. She is so full of anger and hate, and she’s so quick to yell and scream and bitch at anybody and everybody. And although I would never normally condone this sort of treatment from a man to his woman, I had to agree with Cage on this one…

“What the hell do you want from me, bitch? Fuckin’ tell me so I can give it to you and you can SHUT THE FUCK UP!”

But with the opportunity to get inside of her head, she grew on me. Both she and Cage are lost. Growing up in the world that they have, seeing all that they have and enduring all that they have has been hard. And neither of them have ever really determined what it is they want in life, and I love the changes we see in them once they get the chance to do that.

“I love you, Teacup,” he said, smiling. “Always have … just didn’t realise it until now.”

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

And, alongside Cage and Tegen’s story, we also get the story of Dirty and Ellie.

Ellie is Danny’s friend, and is back in town after a long absence in order to be closer to her family. Dismissive of Danny and her life in the club, she has no intention of going anywhere near the people in the club that she spent time with while growing up. But that all changes one night when she is rescued from an imminent rape by MC member, Dirty.

Dirty is… well… dirty. Unclean, unshaven, with greasy hair and downright depraved issues with women, he is definitely not your regular romantic hero. But when he saves Ellie, he is the one person that she clings to to get her through the traumatic experience. I love his protectiveness, and the care that he showed her, even though he is terrified of her, and of having her in his house. And the closer Ellie gets to him, the more we get to see what is going on inside his head, and damn, that’s a dark place to be!

“He needed to hurt someone, anyone, because he hurt so fucking bad all the damn time and it never left him, not once, he didn’t get even five fucking seconds of peace, never, fucking ever. It was always there, a constant reminder that he was a worthless piece of fucking shit, a blight on humanity, that he was trash, used up and broken, unfixable.”

Yep, the man has issues. Stemming from his traumatic past, he never gets a moment’s peace, and having Ellie in his life brings it all to the surface. But, drawn to him, she is accepting of him in a way that nobody has ever been before, and I loved how she bonded with him, and the two of them developed a tentative friendship which very slowly, and very realistically developed into more. Dirty’s issues are DEEP, but Ellie has a big heart, and I loved watching her bring him out of the dark as these two came together.

“Why?” He asked brokenly. “Why would a woman like you want anything to do with a man like me?”
“You may have done bad things,” she whispered tearfully. “But you’re not a bad man, Michael. You saved my life, and you saved my life because you have a good heart. Now I want to do the same for you.”
Dirty’s heart exploded.
He was done.
Motherfucking done for.

I really enjoyed their story, but was a bit confused with its addition to the book. It didn’t tie in with Cage and Tegen’s story at all, instead, it broke up the flow of what was happening with them, and I felt that it took away some of the intensity that could have been put into their story. But it did bring a lot of emotion, and a lot more darkness to the book – note to self: do NOT piss Dirty off!!! Holy hell, that man is twisted!

We get to check in with the rest of the MC crew with Deuce and Eva (including some Deuce POV – and even though he pissed me off in this one, you’ve still gotta love the guy), Danny and Ripper, and Kami and Cox . And they are all as sensational as ever! I’d love to be a guest at one of their family dinners! Those scenes were priceless.

“Damn, Ripper,” Cox said, snorting. “You’re so pussywhipped you need your old lady defendin’ you?”
“Cox, don’t speak,” Kami said. “It makes you less hot.”

Overall, I loved this book. While not as intense as earlier books in the series, Madeline Sheehan still sucks you right in, and proudly and unapologetically shoves her badass biker world right in your face. It’s unlike any other series of read, and I absolutely love it!

All I can say now is – bring on ZZ’s story, BIG things are happening there!

4 dark and gritty, badass biker stars.

The Undeniable series

<img data-recalc-dims="1"
