I am so glad to be back in Pearl Lake because I love the Lakeside<\/i><\/a> series! Love on the Lake<\/i> features Teagan, sister of Van from Love Next Door<\/i><\/a>. She\u2019s been working for her dad and watching over him because it\u2019s what she thought he needed but it\u2019s not what she really wants. She settled because she didn\u2019t want to leave her father alone but now that his girlfriend is moving in, Teagan can take time for herself.<\/p>\n

Teagan decides to visit her brother Van and ends up starting new in Pearl Lake. She moves into the apartment above Van\u2019s garage where she runs into Aaron who is completing the finishing touches on the apartment. There is something about Aaron that draws Teagan to him but he seems to want nothing to do with her. Slowly they spend more time together and things start to change when they both realize that first impressions aren\u2019t always correct.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s an attraction they would like to deny but can\u2019t, and when Teagan takes a chance, she takes Aaron by surprise. The witty banter makes things between them so much fun and they also know how to turn up the heat.<\/p>\n

There is so much more to these characters than their attraction though. They are well developed and it\u2019s heartwarming watching their relationship evolve. There is a lot of growth for both characters through the novel. Aaron has a secret, and it\u2019s one that pulls him in two different directions. I love the support Teagan gives him as he navigates his challenges. Teagan has her own challenges, and it\u2019s hard to watch her go through what she does but Aaron is there for her every step of the way.<\/p>\n

These two really stole my heart and their vulnerabilities really pulled at my heart strings. I loved their story and didn\u2019t want it to end. I can\u2019t wait to visit Pearl Lake again!!<\/p>\n
