Penny Reid has done it again! Ten Trend to Seducing Your Best Friend<\/i> is my new favorite read and I can\u2019t recommend it enough!! Winnifred Gobaldi and Byron Visser\u00a0are not best friends\u2026 but they become so much more and I was along for their fantastic, romantic, and unputdownable ride!<\/p>\n

Winnie is an enthusiastic science teacher who has a vlog aimed at getting young women excited about STEM programs. When her best friend tells her about an opportunity she can\u2019t say no to, she has to boost her numbers if she wants the job. To do this, she decides doing the current trending romantic tiktok challenge. She\u2019ll video tape her and a guy friend doing little romantic gestures and create a story as if they were falling in love along the way.<\/p>\n

This is where Byron comes in. He is one of Winnie\u2019s best friend\u2019s friends and no one really understands why Byron and Winnie don\u2019t get along, but they haven\u2019t for the last six years. After the original guy is unable to complete the challenge with her, Byron steps in. He\u2019s famous so he will only boost her numbers even more than before.<\/p>\n

Bryon has always come across as a quiet grump but he is a creative genius when it comes to writing novels. He is a well known author and super hot. When he agrees to do the challenge with her, they end up spending tons of time together and things shift.<\/p>\n

This is the perfect sunshine and grump story. I love these two together. They are fantastic first as sort of enemies, then as friends, and finally as lovers. Both are misunderstood when it comes to the other and I absolutely loved watching them open up to each other and realize that not everything is as it seems. I love experiencing their feelings breaking free right along with them.<\/p>\n

“You are the sweetest torture I’ve ever known. And you…will never feel one tenth for me what I feel for you. And that, also, is perfect.”<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved Winnie\u2019s passion for the sciences and her desire to share her love with her audience. And Byron is such a romantic when he is given the chance. The way he adores Winnie just filled my heart with so much love. They are so fun together and I loved watching their friendship form when they least expect it. The story took turns I didn\u2019t see coming and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels like you snuck past my defenses when I wasn’t looking, Byron Visser. You were simply yourself and I had no choice but to love you. That’s what it feels like.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Though it\u2019s a long read, I couldn\u2019t put it down. I loved getting into both Winnie and Byron\u2019s heads (yay for dual POVs) and adored their love story. It has everything that I have come to love about Penny Reid\u2019s writing \u2013 fantastic and complex characters, original and well-developed storyline, wonderful secondary characters, and the right amount of humor, heart, and heat to keep me wholly invested in the story. I loved everything about it and I know I will find myself reliving it over and over!<\/p>\n
