The fourth and final book in the Hermosa Beach<\/i> series, this is an opposites-attract, age gap romance that is sweet, sexy and gorgeously emotional, and I loved it.<\/p>\n

The books in this series are closely interconnected, woven around a group of friends in their early 20s. Each book is about a new couple, however there are storylines that run through all of the books, so I would definitely recommend reading them in order.<\/p>\n

Paige Andrews is a 24 year old party girl, sexy, confident, and living a mostly carefree life with her close group of friends in Hermosa Beach. Logan Becker is new to town \u2013 a nearly 40-year-old newly-divorced pediatrician, and friend of Ben\u2019s, who is embarking on a fresh start at the local hospital.<\/p>\n

There is a spark between Paige and Logan at their first meeting which leads to flirting, but the evening sadly ends with too much alcohol and vomit, and understandably is not the first impression Paige wanted to make on the handsome newcomer. But they run into each other again and the attraction is still very much there. Paige is all too keen to jump into a fling, but Logan is a relationship guy and doesn\u2019t want to start something with somebody who is way too young for him, and who is in a completely different stage of her life. But they can\u2019t stay away from each other, and friendly banter and flirting soon becomes a slow-burning romance.<\/p>\n

I absolutely love these two together. They\u2019ve both been through difficult times, and they\u2019re both so ready for each other \u2013 even if they don\u2019t immediately recognise it. Paige\u2019s playfulness and sense of fun brings life back into Logan\u2019s career-focussed existence, and in return, his steadiness, affection and support provides just the anchor she needs. And let\u2019s not forget about all of that steamy hotness. It takes them a while to get there, which I really liked, because it forced a chance of pace for Paige and really allowed the two of them to get to know each other before they took that step, but once they do, it\u2019s passionate and intimate, and so meaningful for both of them, and I loved watching their relationship progress.<\/p>\n

The prologue of the book shows us a key point in their relationship, so the whole time I was reading, I felt this build of anticipation waiting for that moment, and when it came… God, it hurt. I wish it didn\u2019t happen the way that it did, but it\u2019s an extreme situation they are in, with so many external pressures and drama, and it becomes a trigger for them to finally deal with their pasts, and find the courage to move forward and claim their happy ending.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a gorgeous romance, and I loved seeing Paige and Logan find their way together. As with the other books in the series, there is great character development, and I particularly loved seeing Paige step up, really put herself out there and followed her heart. And as much as I love Logan as a character, she really shines in this one.<\/p>\n

Storylines that began in earlier books continue through this book, with some wonderful closure for one character in particular. Given that it\u2019s the final book in the series, I would have loved a final epilogue though, a glimpse into the future to show where everybody ended up. There are still questions that I have, and people that need to be dealt with that didn\u2019t get the smackdown that I was hoping for. But I did enjoy that the characters from previous books all appeared in this one, so we got to see the group all together again.<\/p>\n

This is a really gorgeous read. Paige and Logan are fantastic characters, and their love story is absolutely beautiful. I loved it.<\/p>\n
