Charlotte Mitchell doesn\u2019t much like Hank Weller. Once upon a time, she used to. Years ago, she liked him a whole heckofalot despite other folks in town labeling him as \u201ceccentric\u201d and \u201cnonconformist,\u201d which were polite southern alternatives to “filthy rich” and “self-centered douchebag.” Her opinion of him changed dramatically after he volunteered to be her date to junior prom and then promptly stood her up. They haven’t so much as acknowledged each other in over a decade. But a sudden family emergency means Charlotte needs access to Hank\u2019s club ASAP. Unfortunately for her, the narcissistic fancy-pants doesn\u2019t seem to understand the meaning of the words\u00a0help<\/i>,\u00a0generosity<\/i>, and\u00a0compassion<\/i>.<\/p>\n

But he\u2019s about to find himself schooled. Charlotte is going to teach Hank a lesson once and for all about basic human decency, whether he likes it or not.<\/p>\n

When Charlotte comes to Hank for a job at the gentleman\u2019s club he owns he immediately says no because he doesn\u2019t think she should be a stripper but also because they don\u2019t really get along. Things change when he learns she\u2019s going to get a job at another local strip club. He has no idea why Charlotte needs the job but if she is determined to work at a strip club he figures could have her do something around his club other than stripping.<\/p>\n

Charlotte has a plan and need inside intel that only the strippers can provide. As she works on her investigation, sparks fly between Hank and Charlotte. She doesn\u2019t have time to date and he thinks she can do better than him so they try hard to keep their hands to themselves. However, that doesn\u2019t last long when they really get to know each other the more time they spend together.<\/p>\n

We didn\u2019t click together like hard edges of a puzzle, but with fingers linking, giving and taking, reforming, accommodating, our bodies moved in perfect unison. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On the outside, it doesn\u2019t seem like Hank and Charlotte should click but they do and they are so good together. I love that Charlotte wants him for all he is and doesn\u2019t worry about what people think. She just can\u2019t give him everything as she splits her love between her children and works hard to provide for them. He on the other hand wants to deserve her and doesn\u2019t want the town to talk about her dating a strip club owner so it makes their relationship challenging.<\/p>\n

I love Hank and Charlotte. They bring the right amount of serious and fun to the pages and really make you root for them. I adored how Hank was with Charlotte and her kids (especially Joshua and Sonya). Those scenes absolutely melted my heart. They gave him a whole new way to look at kids and I saw him in a different light. From that moment I was a goner.<\/p>\n

Hank had an idea of how his life should be and he couldn\u2019t have anticipated the change Charlotte would bring. I loved them figuring out their relationship and putting everything on the line for each other. They bring so much heart and heat to the story and the epilogue was icing on the cake.<\/p>\n

Overall, I loved it! This series is fantastic and I can\u2019t wait for more!!<\/p>\n
