What a fantastic read!\u00a0 Ana Huang\u2019s new Kings of Sin<\/i> series starts off with an arranged marriage\/billionaire romance that is a fabulously decadent read, full of chemistry, intensity and passion \u2013 in all of its forms.<\/p>\n

Vivian Lau is a successful event planner, and a dedicated daughter who is determined to make her family proud. So, when her newly-wealthy, social-climbing father arranges a marriage for her, she\u2019s unhappy but resigned, knowing that this was most likely her destiny.<\/p>\n

Ruthless billionaire CEO Dante Russo is all about control. He is cold and seemingly soulless, yet when Vivian\u2019s father finds his one weakness, he exploits it for all he can, blackmailing Dante into marrying his daughter. Silently furious, Dante has little choice but to agree to the marriage, all the while planning his escape and his revenge on the man who put him into this position.<\/p>\n

Sparks fly when Dante and Vivian meet. Sure, there\u2019s attraction there, but they\u2019re both so horrified by their engagement, that they instantly hate each other, and all of that anger makes for an epic start to their chemistry-filled relationship.<\/p>\n

Her presence awoke an unwanted heat in my gut. My body had never reacted so viscerally to anyone before, and I didn\u2019t even fucking like her. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I loved watching these two battle and bicker. Dante is a force of nature, but Vivian is just as strong, and determined not to be ignored or treated badly. She\u2019s fierce and bold, and gives back just as good as she gets, and I freaking love her! And she needs all the strength she has to deal with Dante\u2019s disdain and grumpiness. Their softening towards each other comes slowly, with little hints of more<\/i>, and I lapped up every little moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe should attempt to get along,\u201d she said breathlessly. \u201cGet to know each other. Maybe go on a date or two.\u201d
\nSome of the earlier tension dissipated.
\n\u201cAre you asking me out, <\/i>mia cara?\u201d A smile touched my lips at her glare.

The harder Vivian fights to break through Dante\u2019s walls, the higher the tension becomes, and I was desperate for something to happen!<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a slow burn that absolutely sizzles, and when all of that tension breaks\u2026 holy freaking damn, it\u2019s hot! Intense, explosive and super sexy, the connection between these two is off the charts, and the fact that there is still animosity between them makes it all the more passionate and raw, and so exciting when they start to realise that there is more to their relationship than either of them anticipated.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re only together because of a deal you<\/i> made with my father \u2026 Why do you care?\u201d
\n\u201cI don\u2019t know!\u201d The force of his reply stunned me into silence.
\nDante\u2019s granite mask cracked, revealing the torment underneath.
\n\u201cI don\u2019t know why I care. I just know I <\/i>do, and I hate it.\u201d Self-loathing coated his voice.
\n\u201cI hate the idea of you touching anyone else, or anyone else touching you. I hate that other people can make you laugh in a way I can\u2019t. I hate how I feel around you, like you\u2019re the only person that can make me lose control when I. <\/i>Don\u2019t. Lose Control.\u201d
\nEvery word, every step brought him closer until my back pressed against the wall and the heat of his body enveloped mine.
\n\u201cBut I do.\u201d His voice dropped, turning ragged. \u201cWith you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gah! The intensity of everything between them seriously gave me shivers.<\/p>\n

From strangers to enemies to friends to lovers, each stage brings a different dynamic to their relationship, and I loved watching them react, and slowly come to accept their changing feelings for each other. The passion between them burns as hatred and anger, to sizzling sexy time, and into intense emotion, and I was right there with them for all of it, relishing every moment.<\/p>\n

What we had wasn\u2019t soft, emotional sex, at least not on the surface. But beneath the rough hands and filthy words, a storm of emotions had blown through and upended our entire relationship. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And who would have thought that such a grumpy, callous a-hole would make me swoon so damn hard?! OMG, Dante rocked my world and had my heart pounding as we see the romantic hero emerge. He has so much to figure out about himself, and a lot to learn, but he accepts the challenge like the stubborn perfectionist that he is, and his growth as a person is beautiful, real and raw. It was amazing to see him fall so damn hard.<\/p>\n

Somehow, somewhere along the way, I\u2019d fallen in love \u2026
\nNot like or lust. <\/i>Love, in all its terrifying, unpredictable, unwanted glory.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It\u2019s not an easy ride, and there are ups and downs along the way as they figure it all out. They both have challenges to face, and there are mistakes made along the way, but they are both strong, stubborn and intelligent, and the result is a gorgeous story of growth, standing up for yourself and figuring out what you want, and an absolutely incredible love story.<\/p>\n

I loved this book. I love these characters, and the world that Huang has created among the uber-rich of New York City. There is a bit of crossover with the Twisted<\/i> series, which was awesome, and we are introduced to the characters of the next book, which looks like lots of fun. I am so excited to dive further into this series.<\/p>\n

Such a great read \u2013 4.5 stars.<\/p>\n
