This is such a great read! An opposites-attract, forbidden romance that is sizzling with chemistry, it\u2019s a fun, passionate romance that I could not get enough of! This is the second in Ana Huang\u2019s Kings of Sin<\/i> series, and I am loving this world full of high-powered billionaire businessmen and the women that bring them to their knees.<\/p>\n

Kai Young is a billionaire businessman who is gunning for the position of CEO of his family\u2019s vast media empire. Serious and ordered, his life is all about control and perfection, but he has one big distraction in his life in the form of the bartender at the exclusive Valhalla Club where he is a managing member.<\/p>\n

Isabella is the best friend of Vivian (heroine of book #1). Confident, spirited, and full of life, she is bartending while trying to figure out what her passion truly is, and she\u2019s attempting to write an erotic thriller novel which she hopes will spark her writing career. But she can\u2019t concentrate on writing when Kai Young is occupying all of her thoughts.<\/p>\n

Complete opposites, Kai and Isabella don\u2019t have that much in common, but there\u2019s a connection between them, a spark which sizzles every time they are together. Isabella\u2019s fun, open manner is a breath of fresh air in Kai\u2019s controlled world, her vivaciousness draws him in, and he\u2019s powerless to stay away. It\u2019s even more intense because of the forbidden element. A relationship between them is prohibited by the rules of the Valhalla Club, and would cost Isabella her job. Plus, Kai really needs to be focussing on his bid for CEO and his public image. But the two of them cannot stay away from each other, and the sexual tension is insane!<\/p>\n

They know in their heads that they need to keep their distance, and while they occasionally make an effort, a series of secretive meet-ups only ramp up the tension, and when Kai starts jealously intruding on Isabella\u2019s life, it\u2019s so freaking awesome! They only last so long before they need to act on their mad lust, and then it\u2019s all on!<\/p>\n

She was everything I shouldn\u2019t want, but it didn\u2019t matter.
\nI wanted her anyway. So much so, I couldn\u2019t breathe. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kai may be quiet, cold and ruthless on the outside, but underneath, he is a filthy sex god with a dirty mouth and all the moves, and oh holy hell, these two are so hot together! The sex is steamy, but it\u2019s the way they so effortlessly fall together and get to know each other that make it so entertaining. Isabella is so lively, and she brings a sense of playfulness into Kai\u2019s life, and in between all of the steamy sex, the two of them have fun together, they are open and functional, and their feelings for each other grow naturally and so easily.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d never fallen in love before her. Once I did, I did it the way I did everything else. Completely. Totally. Irrevocably. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But they\u2019re risking so much to be together. And with additional pressure from their families, media attention, and their careers in question, they have a very complicated situation to navigate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI never really lived before you \u2026 And I don\u2019t want to imagine living after you.\u201d I dropped my forehead to hers, my chest aching with need and want and a thousand other emotions only she could make me feel. \u201cStay with me, love. Please.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Along the way, Kai and Isabella are supported by their fabulous group of friends. Dante and Vivian are a big part of the story, of course, and I loved getting to know Alessandra, who will feature in the next book. I\u2019m also hoping that Sloane gets a book, because who doesn\u2019t love a filterless, no-effs-given heroine?!<\/p>\n

This is a really gorgeous read. Full of fun, sexy time and beautiful emotion, I loved watching Kai and Isabella effortlessly fall so hard for each other. They both show wonderful character growth as they work towards their future, while being there for each other, and figuring out where they want to be. It\u2019s a beautiful love story, and I loved every moment of it.<\/p>\n
