<\/p>\n 4 stars!<\/b><\/p>\n The latest book in the Elemental Covenant<\/i> series, this is an exciting and dramatic read with the humour, romance, and fabulous characters that I love so much about the Elemental<\/i> world. This time, Carwin and Brigid are in Las Vegas and investigating the kidnapping of the 15 year old son of the city\u2019s ruling vampires.<\/p>\n This is a really great read. I loved being back with these two fabulous characters, and I was fully invested in the kidnapping storyline, the dynamics of the family they were working with, and the politics in play within the city. They all blend together to create a captivating mystery, and with only four nights to solve the case before the boy is killed, it\u2019s suspenseful as well.<\/p>\n Carwin and Brigid are a wonderful couple, and I loved seeing them still so loved up and passionate for each other. They have a great relationship which is fun, heartfelt and protective, and they support each other unquestionably. They\u2019re both powerful vampires, and I loved getting to see them flex their supernatural badassery.<\/p>\n The storyline with the bad guy is a carry-over from a previous book in the series, and I enjoyed the twisty dynamics there, where the \u201csins of the past\u201d theme brings some added drama.<\/p>\n All of the elements come together for an exciting, satisfying read.
