Effortlessly blending a enemies-to-lovers, workplace, and forbidden romance, this book is entertaining from the first page to the last.<\/p>\n Scarlett is following in her family\u2019s footsteps and starts a new job at her father\u2019s law firm. However, she didn\u2019t just get the job because of her relationship to one of the founding partners. She is smart and determined and earned her way in. She just wishes people would believe her.<\/p>\n Scarlett gets assigned to Hudson, the one guy her brother warned her about but she isn\u2019t scared. She can handle anything if she wants to make it in this world and she will do anything to prove her worth. Hudson is a partner at the firm and is known for his hard core work ethic. He is hoping for a senior partner promotion so he won\u2019t let anything get in his way, especially not Scarlett, the daughter of his boss.<\/p>\n Scarlett and Hudson are awesome together and I love the banter between them. From the start, Scarlett has trouble keeping her lips closed and she can\u2019t stop from riling Hudson up with her quiet comments. I love that it doesn\u2019t take long for Hudson to realize just how smart and hardworking Scarlett is without her having to prove herself even if it\u2019s exactly what she is trying to do.<\/p>\n In the beginning, Scarlett is warned that Hudson is a hard partner to work for and Scarlett refuses to let anyone be the reason she fails. They start out sort of as enemies but soon realize that if they work together, everything goes smoother. The more time they spend together, the more enjoyment Hudson feels, something that he isn\u2019t used to in the workplace. Then, when Scarlett confides in Hudson about something very personal, they grow even closer, and these two don\u2019t know what hits them.<\/p>\n I\u2019m her greatest ally and she\u2019s my biggest weakness.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n A workplace romance is forbidden though and they do everything to stay away from each other but sometimes priorities change and I absolutely love how Scarlett and Hudson\u2019s love story turns out. It\u2019s sweet, swoony, fun, and full of love.
