The second book in the Stope Pack<\/i> series, this book is a continuation of Seth and Mia\u2019s story from Wolf<\/a>. A paranormal romantic suspense with fantastic characters and a serial killer on the loose, I was completely sucked in, and I really enjoyed this one!<\/p>\n

This book was originally released on Kindle Vella (as Wolf, Season 2<\/i>), and though it had been a while since I\u2019ve read the first book, there\u2019s good backstory given, and I quickly caught up with the story.<\/p>\n

Beware spoilers for the first book in the series.<\/p>\n

Seth is now the Alpha of the Silver Pack, and he is determined to protect his people and create a good life for them. He\u2019s also a newly mated male, and he\u2019s epically alpha and protective over his human mate, Mia. The problem is, she\u2019s a fierce and bold former-FBI agent who doesn\u2019t like being smothered or told what to do. When a case from Mia\u2019s past seems to have a copycat, she gets drawn into hunting down a serial killer. And when it looks like she may be a target, things get all kind of intense.<\/p>\n

The clashing priorities of Seth and Mia are so entertaining. Seth is so inherently alpha and protective, and his focus is all on keeping his mate safe from the threats that are coming from all directions. At the same time, Mia is adjusting to her new world and coming to understand the life that she\u2019s committed herself to, and she\u2019s doing it while trying to keep her fierce mate from keeping her under lock and key.<\/p>\n

The dynamics are well written, and work really well with the multiple plotlines, all which contribute to the suspense part of the story. The romance is fiery and passionate, and I loved these two together.<\/p>\n

Zanetti has created a great world for her shifters, and I really enjoyed the behaviours and politics of the packs. Seth\u2019s brother, Erik, is a big part of the story, and I love that the focus will now shift to him for the next book. His story is set up beautifully, and I can\u2019t wait to continue on with the series.<\/p>\n
