I freaking love this book so hard! A grumpy\/sunshine, single dad\/nanny sports romance full of epic chemistry, sizzling sexy time, and a heartachingly beautiful, slow-burning love story that had me swooning madly. Being raised by her and my grandmother, I was surrounded by the reminder to be independent and guard my heart.<\/p>\n After my one and only experience with a boy in college fell flatter than a pancake, I realized they were right \u2014 and I was content to live the life of a twenty-six-year-old cat lady.<\/p>\n Until Will Perry blew my quiet world to smithereens.<\/p>\n Starting goalie for the Tampa Bay Ospreys and the kind of hot that scrambles your brain, all I was ever supposed to be to him was his daughter\u2019s kindergarten teacher. Sullen and broody, he rarely cracks a smile, and even though he has his dream career as the top goalie in the NHL, his home life is hard, and he\u2019s struggling to find a reliable nanny for his little girl.<\/p>\n Chloe is little Ava\u2019s kindergarten teacher, and when she offers to temporarily step in as nanny, Will jumps at the offer. Ava adores her, and Chloe understands her quiet nature more than anybody else. That temporary deal soon becomes more permanent when Will moves Chloe into his pool house, and with the two of them in such close proximity, their attraction to each other sizzles out of control, and OMG, the tension is so freaking good!<\/p>\n I wanted her to melt from the heat in my stare. It builds until neither of them can resist and, in no position to be starting a relationship, Will offers Chloe a no-strings arrangement where he\u2019ll teach her all that she\u2019s dying to know about sex, but otherwise they\u2019ll keep their distance. She agrees, and oh holy God, these two are so hot! The sex is intense and so damn steamy. Will is a dirty, dirty boy, and Chloe is all too happy to embrace everything that he shows her, and they are on fire together!<\/p>\n But while they try so hard to keep their feelings out of it, they\u2019re breaking all of the rules from the very beginning, and their shifting dynamic is so, so good to watch!<\/p>\n \u201cYou are not the kind of woman any rule applies to. You are the exception. You are the only one they\u2019re meant to be broken for.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n It\u2019s a complicated situation that they\u2019re in. Will is so damaged by his past and the death of his wife, and he\u2019s put huge walls up to protect himself. And Chloe has had \u201cmen-are-bad\u201d preached to her her entire life by her mother and grandmother, taught to be fiercely independent and has never had a relationship because of it. But beneath the baggage, they are both tender hearted and so ready to love and be loved, and watching them work through all of their issues, figure themselves out and find their HEA is a beautiful journey.<\/p>\n \u201cYou have burrowed into my heart so deeply, it feels like you\u2019ve always been there. It feels as if my heart would cease to beat if I lost you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n And OMG, what a swoonfest!<\/p>\n \u201cI will love you, Chloe, with every broken shard of what\u2019s left of me. And I will rebuild with you – <\/i>for you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Along the way, Will\u2019s teammates and their girls are heavily involved, and there\u2019s lots of fun times with them. And I loved seeing Will and Chloe\u2019s relationships with little Ava. There\u2019s so much love there, and the life that Chloe brings back into their house is such a beautiful part of the story.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s okay, Daddy.
