Wow. \u201cBreak Me\u201d is right! This is the second book in the Wolf Hotel<\/i> series, following the story of no-longer-so-innocent Abby, who has left her small-town, country-girl life behind and is working as the Personal Assistant to billionaire hotel mogul, Henry Wolf, at his new hotel in remote Alaska.<\/p>\n

The last book saw them fall into a passionate affair that was all about the sex, not so much about the emotion. But now, Abby is starting to fall for her boss, which makes things complicated when a relationship between them is forbidden, he\u2019s keeping secrets, and important guests are arriving for the hotel\u2019s grand opening. Abby is not equipped to deal with Henry\u2019s aloofness in public, or her growing jealousy, and it\u2019s a recipe for disaster.<\/p>\n

This book went in a direction I was in no way expecting, but I was fully invested in the story and could not put this book down. Abby is young, she\u2019s na\u00efve and easily manipulated, and she\u2019s making big mistakes all over the place. I was angry and frustrated with her, and at times my heart hurt for her, but wow, what a journey she goes on.<\/p>\n

It’s still seriously steamy, and we\u2019re starting to get a bit of emotion now, and though I was initially sceptical, I actually liked the direction of this book. Abby may break, but she picks herself up and embraces her life, the people in it, and all the new experiences she\u2019s having, and it\u2019s a wildly steamy ride. She learns from her mistakes, and she\u2019s starting to figure out what she wants and finding the courage to fight for it, and I felt so proud of her for that.<\/p>\n

The final chapters of this book start to bring the feels, shifting the direction of the story yet again, and after that final chapter (which I read more than once), I am excited to dive into the next book of the series.<\/p>\n

Loved this one \u2013 4 stars.<\/p>\n

Note – I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by Avery Reid, and she does a great job with it. This is an easy book to listen to.<\/p>\n
