This is a short novella, a prequel for the full-length novel, and first book of the Cole Creek series, We’re Made of Moments<\/em>.<\/p>\n

It tells the story of Jesse and Hayden, in their early 20s, who meet when Hayden spends her summers in Jesse\u2019s home town, the small lakeside town of Cole Creek. Though there is an immediate spark of attraction, Hayden has a boyfriend, so they keep things friendly, and over subsequent summers, they spend time together as friends (though they do cross the flirty line a bit).<\/p>\n

Until the one year Hayden comes to town as a single woman. Her boyfriend cheated on her, and she\u2019s there to get away from her life, secretly hoping that Jesse will be there and they\u2019ll finally get to explore the chemistry between them. Jesse is right on board with that plan, but though they\u2019re both wildly attracted to each other, their lives are heading in different directions, and Jesse makes it clear that he can\u2019t offer anything long term. So they agree to a short term fling for the two weeks that Hayden is in town, where they proceed to rock each other\u2019s worlds and do pretty much everything a boyfriend and girlfriend would do.<\/p>\n

After an incredible two weeks together, Hayden goes back home. A few months later, she\u2019s back with her cheating ex (why, why, why???) when she realises that she\u2019s pregnant from her time with Jesse.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m diving right into the next book to see the fallout, and watch how Jesse and Hayden will inevitably come back together.<\/p>\n

A good intro, I\u2019m excited to go on.<\/p>\n
