It effortlessly weaves several of my favorite tropes together creating a wonderful small town, fake dating, single dad, office romance full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of spice.<\/p>\n After her boyfriend cheats on her at Thanksgiving dinner, Fable is hurt and dreading the fact that she\u2019ll have to spend time with her now ex since he is the cousin of the groom and her sister is the bride. She doesn\u2019t want to let on that she is still hurt by the cheating but the wedding is fast approaching and she\u2019s dateless whereas her ex is bringing the woman with whom he cheated.<\/p>\n Enter Wilder. He\u2019s the owner of the football team where Fable works as the merch designer. His aunt has been trying to play matchmaker and he is tired of it. When he tells his aunt he is bringing Fable to the wedding (the groom is his best friend) to get her off his back, it also helps Fable with her cheating ex problem. However, they will have to really sell it to make sure no one knows their relationship is fake, and sell it they do.<\/p>\n This story is so much fun. From the amusing banter and the scorching heat, to the characters with the biggest hearts, this author knows how to keep you hooked. I loved Wilder and Fable. I enjoyed the realness they shared even when they were faking it. I loved the friendships and family, and the holiday bliss. I loved the small town feel where everyone has your back.<\/p>\n Everything together, the good, the bad, and the challenging brings the story together to give us an unputdownable read. Mostly, it was a light hearted read and one kiss is all it takes to be obsessed with these two. Their chemistry is off the charts and I loved all of their \u201cpracticing\u201d in order to make their fake romance seem real. But honestly, it was real so much earlier than they could have imagined and I believed their feelings and the progression of their relationship. Wilder is so sweet and swoony and I loved that he wanted to show Fable what she deserves. These two were perfect complements and worked so well together.<\/p>\n Wilder was a wonderful father and I loved his relationship with his daughter, Mac. I loved the secondary characters, too, because many were character\u2019s I\u2019ve met and loved before. It was so good to see Fable\u2019s friends, Josie and Everly, who have their own stories in the Love and Hockey series, and Rachel and Elodie, who have their own stories in the How to Date series.
