A fake dating, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance, this is a fun and sexy read with great chemistry, fantastic characters, and a gorgeous romance, and I loved it!<\/p>\n

This is the second book in the Rosewood River<\/i> series, which follows a family of brothers\/cousins living in a small town, but you can easily read this as a standalone.<\/p>\n

Rafe and Lulu have an unfortunate but very entertaining first meeting. They become instant enemies, which is a challenge because Lulu\u2019s best friend is dating Rafe\u2019s brother, and they\u2019re both temporarily staying on the same property \u2013 Lulu in the main house and Rafe in the guest house. Both confident, bold and opinionated, they argue constantly, and Rafe always seems to be on the receiving end of Lulu-induced mishaps which see him getting repeatedly injured. But when Lulu needs a fake boyfriend to present to her family, Rafe is the only one around and he agrees to step in for her if she agrees to return the favour for his boss\u2019 wedding.<\/p>\n

It’s a fun set-up, and Pavlov writes it so well, with her signature charm, wit and humour. The back and forth between Rafe and Lulu is sensational, I loved their constant bickering so much, and even better \u2013 they do too. They both love a challenge and neither of them are prepared to back down, in fact they revel in poking each other and pushing the boundaries at every available opportunity.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, just agree with whatever I say. They can be very inquisitive, so keep it simple. But let them know how amazing I am and how crazy you are about me.\u201d
\n\u201cShould I kiss you? Cop a feel? A little under-the-sweater action?\u201d
\n\u201cAre you high?\u201d She gaped at me.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These two have such a fun dynamic! Though the animosity is real, the physical attraction is there early on. Rafe, in particular, is pretty much smitten from the moment he lays eyes on Lulu, so he throws himself into the role of doting boyfriend. And when their \u2018dating\u2019 allows them to see each other at their fun, charming best – with PDA only building the sexual tension – everything changes.<\/p>\n

\u201cTonight, I had the best time I\u2019ve ever had with a woman, so I don\u2019t know what to tell you, Wildcat, but this shit isn\u2019t fake for me anymore.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I love these two together! They are there for each other, quick to defend and throw their support behind the other, and when they start to open up and really talk, they very quickly become friends. From there, there\u2019s no hiding their attraction, they both acknowledge it, and they embrace their sizzling chemistry, and it\u2019s sexy, fun and so easy! Everything develops naturally, they are open and honest with each other about their feelings, their expectations and everything that\u2019s happening between them, and I freaking loved it! I could feel them falling for each other, and I loved watching it every step of the way.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey,\u201d he said, his arms wrapping around me from behind. \u201cYou\u2019re okay. I see you, Lulu Sonnet. I see all of you. And I\u2019ll take you exactly as you are.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But as much fun as they have, and as \u2018right\u2019 as they are together, they know it can\u2019t go anywhere. Lulu is due to move overseas within months and the timing is all wrong. But that doesn\u2019t stop them from getting everything they can from their romance while they can. And it leads to a beautifully emotional and romantic ending for them as they come to realise just how much their worlds have been changed by the other and what is truly important.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you find someone who gets you, someone you connect with, you realize what a rarity it is, and you hold on tight.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There\u2019s a great cast of characters helping them along the way. Rafe\u2019s brothers and cousins, in particular, offer their unique brand of support, and OMG, those group chat conversations are GOLD! I laughed so much at their banter and teasing. I loved seeing more of Easton and Henley from book #1, and bonus \u2013 we get to see the wedding of Nash and Emerson from Beating Heart (Magnolia Falls, #4)<\/a> (Emerson is the sister of the Chadwick boys in this series), so more Beefcake for the win!<\/p>\n

This is such a great read. It\u2019s sexy and sweet and lots of fun, and I finished it with a huge grin on my face.<\/p>\n
