It’s funny, it’s romantic, it’s sexy, and it’s got a lot of heart. It’s everything that I love about NA reads all rolled into one, and I couldn’t put it down.

Hannah is a studious but sarcastic music student who has had a rough past but has shown amazing strength to move past it and reclaim her life. She has confidence issues when it comes to men, though, and her isn’t sure how to go about getting her crush to notice her.

Captain of the school hockey team and big man on campus, Garrett Graham, is a bit of a legend. Gorgeous, arrogant and effortlessly charming, he can have any woman he wants, and frequently does, but he doesn’t allow them to interfere with his goals. He is focussed on a career in the NHL, and when a failed exam threatens his GPA and his future, he needs help, and he decides Hannah is the one to give it to him.

Garrett asks Hannah to tutor him, but she is immediately dismissive of him, thinking he is a stupid, manwhoring jock, but he badgers her incessantly until she agrees, offering her the one thing she can’t refuse – a scheme to attract the guy she wants. But tutoring sessions soon becomes friendship, which soon becomes attraction, and then it’s all on!

Yes, Hannah and I are friends. In fact, she’s the only female friend I’ve ever had. And yes, I want to keep being Hannah’s friend. But…I also want to sleep with her.

I love these two together! Honestly, I loved every single moment of their time together – in person, on the phone, over text – every encounter was absolutely gold!

I have to say, this is the first time a girl’s been worried about getting caught in my bedroom. Normally they strut out like they’ve just bagged Brad Pitt.
Hannah takes a breath. “We studied. We watched TV. I went home late. That’s what happened. Got it?”
I fight back laughter. “As you wish.”
“Did you really just Princess Bride me?”
“Did you really just use Princess Bride as a verb?”

The banter is brilliant, I laughed so hard at their teasing and flirting, and the sexual tension builds brilliantly as they both lust after each other, and things start to get deliciously hot and steamy. But there is a lot of depth there too as they open up to each other and share their painful pasts. They become incredibly close, and the development of their relationship feels natural and real. There’s no insta-love or OTT gestures, they get to know each other, they have a great time together, their chemistry is off the freaking charts, and they fall for each other. And it’s all fantastic! I had such a great time reading this book, I didn’t want it to end.

Him: Confession: I deleted all the 1 Direction from your iPod when u were in the can.
You’re welcome.
Me: WHAT?? I’m going to kiss u!
Him: With tongue?
It takes me a second to realize what happened, at which point I’m completely mortified.
Me: Kill u! I meant KILL. u. Damn autocorrect.
Him: Surrrrrre. Let’s blame it on autocorrect.
Me: Shut it.
Him: I think someone wants to kiss me…

Garrett pure is awesome. Sure, he’s initially a manwhore, but he’s honest about it, he doesn’t give false expectations, he is the way he is, and girls can take it or leave it. He’s actually a total sweetheart who is loyal and protective and deeply caring of the people in his life. I loved watching him come to realise his feelings, and go all in and he falls for Hannah. And for a man who doesn’t do relationships, he does everything right!

I kiss her hard, losing myself in her taste and her heat and every damn thing about her. I never expected her. Sometimes people sneak up on you and suddenly you don’t know you ever lived without them.

Hannah is a fantastic heroine – smart, funny, sassy and open, she is a great match for Garrett. She’s strong but she has her vulnerabilities, and I loved the way that the more serious parts of the story were handled. The honesty between her and Garrett was beautiful, and it made their love story something really special.

“I’m broken”
My voice is muffled against his neck, but I hear his voice loud and clear as he says, “You’re not broken, baby. I promise.”

There is some drama and a moment of stupid but the way it’s resolved, and how easily everything comes together after that made it all seem insignificant in the general scheme of things, and I could easily get past it. For the most part this book is SO freaking funny (locker room anybody??), and the beauty of it is just in spending time with these characters as they progress from strangers to friends and then lovers.

This is my first read by Elle Kennedy, and I can’t wait to check out more of her writing. I had so much fun reading this book, and can’t recommend it highly enough.

5 huge stars.

The Off-Campus series<strong class="alignnone
