4.5 ‘My mind is blown!’ stars<\/b><\/p>\n

Wow! I\u2019ve just been blown away by this book! It\u2019s my first by this author, and I love her storytelling. She wrote an exciting and enthralling romance and threw one helluva twist in there which completely shifted the mood of the book and made it something really special. Bravo, Ms McAvoy!<\/p>\n

Felicity and Theodore meet at a \u2018Sugar\u2019 party \u2013 where the wealthy go to meet up with people willing to offer companionship in exchange for a bit of luxury. Neither of them are there for the intended purpose, but nevertheless they see each other, share a moment, and even though Felicity runs from him, Theo is hooked. And as a billionaire director, producer and CEO of his family\u2019s entertainment corporation, he is used to getting what he wants, and he goes after Felicity with single-minded determination and the banter and sexual tension is fantastic.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy were you at that party?\u201d
\nI groaned. \u201cThis again? What does it matter–?\u201d
\n\u201cIt matters because I want you, but I need to know what you want in return. If it isn\u2019t money or someone to provide for you, then what is it you want?\u201d
\nI was stunned. \u201cWait, what?\u201d
\n\u201cI need to know what you want–\u201d
\n\u201cNo, go back to why it matters.\u201d
\nHe raised an eyebrow. \u201cThe \u2018I want you\u2019 part?\u201d
\n\u201cYes. You\u2019re kidding right?\u201d
\n\u201cYes, because I came all the way down here to have crappy coffee for the hell of it.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Felicity has had a difficult life. She bears scars from all that she has been through, but she is an absolute fire-cracker and I love her! She wants Theo just as much as he wants her, and so they enter into a \u2018sex with no strings\u2019 arrangement and proceed to blow each other\u2019s minds with all kinds of sexy time, and it\u2019s SO damn hot!<\/p>\n

\u201cSay it, Felicity. Say it proudly.\u201d
\n\u201cI\u2019m yours, Theo. Only yours.\u201d<\/i><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Felicity and Theo are both incredibly strong characters, and the push and pull between them is fantastic! They are locked in a constant battle of wills trying to one-up the other, but neither can deny that what they are feeling is more than sex. They bring the best out in each other \u2013 Felicity brings light and laughter back to Theo\u2019s world, and he encourages her to branch out of her quiet existence and really live. I loved watching them enjoying each other and trying to sort out what they are feeling, all the while falling harder and harder for each other.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think I might love you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But those demons from the past still have a hold, and when life hits rock bottom, Felicity and Theo have to fight harder than they ever have before in order to overcome the challenges facing them \u2013 both personally and as a couple.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I said you\u2019re mine, I meant it. Remember? I saw what I mean. I chose scars and all.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Will their love be strong enough to survive?<\/p>\n

I love this story! The relationship is beautifully written, and I genuinely enjoyed Felicity and Theo\u2019s back and forth as they flirted, sexed and romanced their way into a relationship that neither of them expected. They are absolutely fantastic together, and the mix of sexy times, fun and sweet moments, laugh-out-loud humour and deep emotion were really nicely balanced.<\/p>\n

Written in dual POV, McAvoy gets us up close and personal with her characters, and I\u2019m so glad that we got multiple perspectives throughout the story. Felicity and Theo are wonderful characters \u2013 both incredibly likeable, with a depth that continues to be revealed as the story goes on. They have both been through a lot but they have the hugest hearts, and I love that they found something so amazing together.<\/p>\n

I really liked the way the book is written \u2013 not showing you everything, but showing enough, and the way it all unfolds is really well done. I never saw that twist coming! There are a couple of additional surprises in store and while I picked one of them, the other came out of nowhere as well, and I\u2019m hoping there will be another book to follow up on that storyline!<\/p>\n

I loved it, and was hooked from start to finish. I know this is a story that will stay with me.<\/p>\n
