Broken Love<\/em> is the second book in the Love Series written by Jillian Dodd. I really enjoyed the first book, Vegas Love,<\/em> and was\u00a0excited to read about\u00a0another Crawford brother. It is a sweet second-chance romance that is more than just a love story.<\/p>\n

Cade and Palmer have loved each other for years but could\u00a0not\u00a0act on it when the attraction first began. The six year age difference delayed the inevitable, but also Palmer was Cade’s best friend, Pike’s, sister and everyone knows little sisters are off limits. The night Palmer turned twenty one, they finally gave into their desires and jumped into a secret relationship full of love and laughter. It was pure bliss before everything suddenly fell apart. In one fell swoop, Cade not only lost the love of his life but also his best friend. Cade and Palmer went their separate ways;\u00a0it seemed that their love wasn’t meant to be.<\/p>\n

Six years later, Palmer and Cade are reunited at the wedding of Cash and Ashlyn from Vegas Love<\/em>. Cade and Palmer are frazzled by the attraction they still\u00a0feel\u00a0but are unwilling\u00a0to address the past. They keep running into each other and it is clear that there is unfinished business.<\/p>\n

As I walk down the beach alone, I realize that even after all these years I’m still broken. Because she’s not in my life.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Both Palmer and Cade feel regret, pain, and sadness for how things turned out and the years they lost. They still love each other but they are stubborn and hurt, and can’t seem to get it together. Then another chance meeting \u00a0brings them together again.<\/p>\n

The passion I feel now is bolder. It\u2019s audacious, dauntless. Every touch\u2014every kiss\u2014is familiar, but it\u2019s laced with the kind of desperation only true love can bring.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I really liked Broken Love<\/em>. It’s a great second-chance romance that was sweet, steamy, and funny. I enjoyed the plot line and I liked how the past was told in flashbacks so we didn’t get the whole story right away. \u00a0Cade and Palmer were great together and you could tell that they were meant for each other.<\/p>\n

Cade was a swoon worthy character\u00a0and I loved how sweet he was to Palmer. When they are together I loved that he is all in and didn’t question his feelings. I just wish he would have fought for her sooner and did something about how he felt.<\/p>\n

Palmer was a confident, sexy woman who was fun to be around. \u00a0I really liked her but I think that some of her actions could have avoided a lot of the heartache. \u00a0Her stubbornness frustrated me and I wish she didn’t run like she did on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n

I really enjoyed the side characters. Tory was a hoot and she was a great friend to Palmer. \u00a0 I loved that we got to see the other Crawfords and more of Cash and Ashlyn. \u00a0The Crawford family is wonderful and I loved their support for each other.<\/p>\n

I am not sure I loved all the detail about what Pike was going through even if he was a big part of the book. I liked that we got to see what was going on in his mind regarding Cade and Palmer, but at times it dove into Pike’s life that didn’t really seem to revolve around Palmer or Cade and I felt like it was a completely different book. I liked the content but I wanted more Palmer and Cade and less Pike.<\/p>\n

We clink our glasses together then down the shots. The groomsman passes me a lime wedge, but I shake my head, causing him to pull me aside.
\n<\/span>\u201cMy name\u2019s Jared,\u201d he says with a cocky smirk.
\n<\/span>\u201cI thought this was supposed to be a no-names night?\u201d I reply, giving him shit, even though I have no interest in him.
\n<\/span>\u201cIt is. But for you, I\u2019ll make an exception. You need to know what name to say when I make you scream later.\u201d
\n<\/span>Cade comes up from behind Jared, clamping his big hand down on Jared\u2019s skinny shoulder.
\n<\/span>Jared glances back at Cade. They share some kind of a look that causes Jared to immediately ditch me. He saunters over to Tory and throws his arm around her, which earns him a hint of a smile from Cade.
\n<\/span>\u201cSo does this mean you\u2019re not married?\u201d Tory asks Jared.
\n<\/span>\u201cNope, I\u2019m single as a Pringle,\u201d he replies.
\n<\/span>I expect Cade to say something to me, but instead he turns away.
\n<\/span>I\u2019m not sure what just happened, but I think it was some guy-code thing.
\n<\/span>And it pisses me off.
\n<\/span>Tory sees the rage on my face, takes my hand, and drags me off to the bathroom.
\n<\/span>\u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u201d
\n<\/span>\u201cDid you see that!?\u201d I rant, as we step inside the ladies\u2019 room, finding a long line. \u201cCade cock blocked me! Not that I wanted that guy\u2019s cock, because you already called dibs on it, but Cade didn\u2019t know that!\u201d
\n<\/span>\u201cSince you don\u2019t have a cock,\u201d she replies. \u201cI think it\u2019s called <\/span>blocking the box<\/span><\/i>.\u201d
