I love this book! Em and Hunter\u2019s story of forbidden love is dangerous, exciting, sweet and all kinds of hot!<\/p>\n

Their story actually began during the timeline of the last book of the series \u2013\u00a0Reaper’s Legacy, and with that fantastic intro, I was instantly intrigued in what was going to happen between these two! The first part of this book overlaps the ending of\u00a0Reaper\u2019s Legacy<\/em>, so we get all of the excitement and intensity of that one big event, but this time from Em and Hunter\u2019s POV, and it\u2019s awesome! But this book goes back before then, to their first meeting and all of the build up that occurred before the reader got their first idea that something was happening between them.<\/p>\n

Em is the daughter of Reapers MC President, Picnic, and has been raised among the Reapers her whole life. That, combined with her overprotective father (who has been known to pull a gun on her dates before), has put a serious block on her love life.<\/p>\n

\u201cHalf the guys consider you their daughter and the other half want to bang you. And all of \u2018em are scared of your dad.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hunter is a nomad member of the Devil\u2019s Jacks MC. The Jacks are the sworn enemies of the Reapers and when he is ordered to scope out the rival club President\u2019s daughter as a mark, he takes one look at Em and is smitten. Getting to know her as Liam (his real name), the two of them grow close, and when Em finally starts to make her claim for some sort of freedom away from her father and the club, she decides it\u2019s finally time to make her move for her mysterious friend, and he is more than willing to join her.<\/p>\n

The chemistry between these two is sensational! They have an incredible spark between them, and they are freaking hot together!<\/p>\n

Mine. All mine \u2026 Fuck if I knew what I\u2019d done to deserve it, but not a chance in hell I\u2019d let her get away.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Liam\u2019s secret is soon revealed to Em, and things between them get crazily complicated. I love the way that the whole series of events plays out. Em is an absolute firecracker, and although she\u2019s falling for the bad guy, she handles the situation brilliantly.<\/p>\n

\u201cFuck. You.\u201d
\nHe smirked. \u201cLater, sweetheart. Now try to keep your mind on business for me like a good girl.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hunter is a badass biker, with all of the character traits that go along with that. He battles between the love of his woman vs the love of his club, and I did have a few squinty eyed moments at some of his motives, but he eventually won me over. He straddles the line between good and bad, and we definitely get to see both sides of him (totally deserving of a kick to the balls\u2026 and more!), but he has an emotional, affectionate side to him that is absolutely gorgeous! I love the way that he cares for Em, the way that he isn\u2019t afraid to put his emotions out there, and the way he treats her and looks after her. There is a bit of a dark and dirty feel to it, but even for a nasty biker, he made me melt.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m with you, Em. Don\u2019t doubt that, okay? No matter what happens or what you hear\u2026Promise?\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Em\u2019s understanding of Hunter\u2019s world and the part that he plays in it, as well as his expectations of her, make this book different from the previous two where Marie and Sophie were coming into a whole new life. Em has been raised in an MC, and she knows what it means, and I think it brings something very different to their romance.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re your family, and now they\u2019re my family, too. I\u2019m not a civilian and I didn\u2019t fall in love with a stockbroker. I fell in love with a Devil\u2019s Jack. I know what it means to wear a cut.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And despite being a badass biker, Hunter fully accepts who for Em is \u2013 her strength, her sense of self, and her nature, without trying to change her, and I love that about him.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t need to control her\u2026Hell, I just wanted to sit back and watch her, try to figure out what made her tick and hold on for the ride.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

But they have SO much standing between them. Their clubs are under attack and on the brink of war, and with everybody they care about in opposition to the one thing they want most, Em and Hunter are torn between their two worlds. What are they willing to risk to be together?<\/p>\n

\u201cNo offence, Em, but us being together is way too dangerous and crazy to risk for just sex. Fuck that. I want do to this right. Are you with me?\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This book is a wild and exciting ride from start to finish. The overarching storyline of the battle between the MCs plays a big part, and we get to know some of the Jacks crew, as well as spending a bit of time with the Reapers. With lots of action, MC drama, dirty flirting, sex and against-the-odds-romance, this is another great addition to the series. I was sucked straight into the story and was engrossed the whole way through. I can\u2019t wait for Picnic\u2019s book next.<\/p>\n
