5+ “Love her” stars!

There is beauty everywhere, even in the things that scare you the most…

Devastated and utterly heartbroken at the end of Full Tilt, I was scared to jump into All In because of the love I had for Jonah and for all that Jonah and Kasey were together. I knew that I needed to grieve; however, now that I have read it, I can’t believe I waited. It was exactly what I needed to heal my heart no matter how hard the journey was to get to the happily ever after. Keep in mind that this review contains spoilers for Full Tilt.  Stop now if you have not read book one!

This book makes you feel and I loved it and everything it put me through. There were gut-wrenching moments that broke my heart all over again and emotion that left me with tear streaked cheeks. Yet, this book was so much more than the pain and heartbreak I experienced. It was about healing and learning to love again. It was filled with hope and dreams, and finding peace with the past but never forgetting.

I think that it is imperative that you experience the love and heartbreak in Full Tilt to fully grasp the depth of love and healing these characters’ go through as their epic love story evolves because this duet is everything!

“The light in your eyes—in your heart—has dimmed, but it is not put out. Let it roar once again.”

Losing Jonah left Kacey lost and barely living. She was bombarded with emotion and I felt it all. The loss, regret, guilt, and failure, mixed with the love that was ripped from her hands was gut-wrenching. I couldn’t control the tears as I read the suffocating pain and loss she experienced. Despite feeling so alone, I loved that she had people who believed in her and wanted to help bear the pain. I loved the growth she goes through as she accepts the past and begins to heal with the help of Theo.

Theo is such a wonderful character. When he loves, he loves with his whole heart and with complete devotion.  I felt the anguish Theo experienced when Jonah died and it tore me apart. Theo carried so much on his shoulders and his strength shone through as he picked up the pieces after the devastating loss. He is selfless and patient and being inside his head showed how amazing his heart was.

When they first met in Full Tilt, Theo and Kasey didn’t start off on the best of terms. Theo was broody and closed off, and won’t stop giving Kasey his “Death Glare.” But there was something behind his eyes and actions that made me believe there was more to him, and we see a whole new side to Theo in this book. All In unveils a connection between Kacey and Theo, one that is very different than that of Kacey and Jonah’s, but no less important, intense, or real. It’s all-consuming, powerful, and absolutely breathtaking.

He laid his lips to mine, kissing me softly, slowly. The world turned around us, blurring and disappearing. I had to hold onto his wrists to keep from slipping away with it, gasping at the sensation that came roaring to life inside me. A match lit in a dark room, flaring with brilliant light. My lips parted with that gasp, and Theo, with a growl of pure want, kissed me again, this time hard and deep.

I adored Theo and Kacey as a couple. My heart warmed as they grew closer and opened up. Moving on was far from easy and I felt the conflict, guilt, and shame they experienced as new feelings grew particularly because of the growing sexual tension that surrounded them. I loved the pull they felt even when they tried to deny it and their chemistry was intense. Watching them come to terms with what they meant to each other was beautiful and I loved when they let their fears go.

“I love you. I’m done keeping it inside. I’m done being afraid to speak what I feel because what I feel for you…”

Theo and Kacey were amazing together especially regarding her relationship with his brother. They never diminished her feelings for Jonah, never lessened her love or tried to ignore it.  They respected Jonah and Kacey’s past as they discovered their future. Their love grew slowly and progressed realistically. Common pain brought them together but I felt like there was always a little spark waiting to ignite even if it was pushed to the background when they first met. I believe Kacey loved Jonah deeply but I know she truly and desperately loved Theo as well and their love was the one meant to last.

My love for Jonah a warm glow in my heart, like a sun that never sets. And deeper within, a fiery core—my love for Theo burning with powerful, unending intensity.

The Full Tilt Duet is one of my top favorites and a must read for all romance lovers.

Love had no end. She was infinite. She was a universe, my universe, and I was hers. Love had no boundaries, no rules, no favorites. And no limits.
