3.5 stars!

This is a short, sexy, sweet read. An easy, enjoyable and angst-free story that hooked me from start to finish and left me with a huge grin on my face.

Jenna and Emma meet when the elevator they are traveling in breaks down. Emmett works in the building and, based on which floor Jenna is heading for, he quickly deduces that she is on her way to the “spank bank”, which opens the door to some very interesting conversation.

Jenna is 35 and she wants a baby. She’s given up on the idea of finding love and has taken matters into her own hands to get the job done. Emmett has a similar idea, and offers to take the matter into his hands, offering to get the job done the old fashioned way.

She gets a baby, we both get laid, everybody wins.

From the moment these two meet there is a spark between them. They are clearly attracted, they’re both single and both of them agree to keep things uncomplicated and ‘no-strings’, so it’s all systems go. They’ll hook up for as long as it takes for Jenna to get pregnant, and then they’ll go their separate ways. But, of course, that’s not exactly how it ends up happening.

Our time together has a set expiration date, and even though it will be hard, it’s also necessary. For a fleeting moment, the flash of a memory takes hold. I reflect on what my friends told me way back when, that love shows up when you aren’t looking for it anymore.

It’s not a unique storyline, and of course we all know how it’s going to end up, but watching this story play out was a delight as Jenna and Emmett slowly and unexpectedly break down their walls and fall for the first time. From unexpected date nights, banter, fun games and sweet moments, I loved watching these two grow closer, and though the sexy time is hot from the beginning, it gets even more intense as the feels develop, and hot damn!

It’s a really sweet romance that shows us everything we want to see, and includes an epilogue that finishes everything off beautifully.

I listened to this as an audiobook and easily got it read in a day. And Sebastian York… what more can I say? He does a great job with Emmett and really shines in this one.

A really enjoyable and easy read – 3.5 stars.
