Blurb

A new angsty stand alone love triangle romance from USA Today bestselling author K.A. Linde that will keep you guessing which man is her groom and which one objects…

I’m in love with two men.

But I can only marry one.

And today is my wedding day.

The bridesmaids button my wedding dress. They titter excitedly as the music begins. My groom is waiting for me. I walk down the aisle prepared to say I do. All according to plan.

Except for the shout from the back of the room, “I object!”

I should have known it couldn’t be that easy. After fourteen years of push and pull, neither of them is going to let me go. We’re a trio that should have never been. Me and Cole and Ash. One that I’m to marry and one that I’m to leave behind.

Now, once and for all, I have to choose: my groom or the man objecting?

But until then…hold the forevers.

Review

5 stars!

I am not a fan of love triangles. I never have been because for me, they can ruin a book. However, this one is not your typical love triangle. It has all the feels and angst you’d expect but it’s different than anything I’ve read before. It’s not easy and it hurts like hell but it is all worth it to find out what all transpires and how the story ends. And I can honestly say, triangle and all, I loved it!

I’m in love with two men.
But I can only marry one.
And today is my wedding day.

Gah, that alone brings on the angst. Lila loves two men. Ash is her high school sweetheart and first love. Cole is her college sweetheart and the guy who picked up the pieces after Ash left her broken. They come into her life at different times but can’t escape each other as past and present collide. I felt both their connections to Lila and that is what makes this story so difficult but believable. Both loves were real.

The way the story is written makes all three of them find a place in your heart. I loved Lila and Ash together but I loved Lila and Cole too. They all love fiercely and passionately. They all feed the flames and turn up the heat. Ash and Cole are perfect for her in different ways but it didn’t change the fact that there was only one outcome. There could be only one groom and she has to decide who she loves more.

I didn’t know who she was going to choose and we don’t find out to the very end. I knew my heart was going to break no matter what because I was invested in all three of these characters. I felt Lila’s love, I felt their love, and I felt the ongoing turmoil that grew as the years moved on. I was frustrated and heartbroken, I was anxious and torn up inside. But I also loved the ride.

There was no weathering the love of two men. There was only standing in the heart of the storm and praying for more rain.

This story take place over years and I loved how it unfolds. We get both the past and the present so we see how each relationship forms and evolves and ends. The ends crushed me but the rekindling set my heart soaring. This trio’s story is filled with so many ups and downs I didn’t know when the rollercoaster would end but I couldn’t turn away from the inevitable train wreck that comes with loving two men but only being able to choose one.

“I can’t wait for you my entire life. I can’t sit around and hope that you’ll tell him that you choose me. And I won’t be second.”
“You’re not second.”
He met my gaze. Must have seen the sincerity. “Then I won’t share first place. There are no ties here.”
“I know.”
“I love you, but love isn’t enough…”
I let him walk away this time because what else could I do?
It was a tie. And no one could suffer a tie.

I read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know who Lila chose and I was not disappointed! I was definitely rooting for him not because I didn’t love the other guy but because I felt like he had more of her heart, knew her better, and wanted more for her. I felt a forever connection with him and thought their love was the strongest. It was little things he did and how they were together that made me know it in my heart and it’s what added to this book and made everything work for me.

Overall, I loved this book. As I said before this story is not easy but the pain is so worth it. There are definitely things that were almost too much and made me so mad but in the end it worked. People are not perfect and they make mistakes but for Lila, only one man had her forever and I couldn’t be happier with her choice.
