A frustrating but satisfying ending to a great series!

3.5 stars

This trilogy tells the story of Sela and Beck – two people who met under less-than-ideal circumstances, but who rocked each other’s worlds and found passion, a soul-deep connection, and a love worth risking everything for.

“What you and I have, Sela… no one will ever comprehend it. No one will ever come in between it. But it’s real and it’s ours, and I’m never letting it go.”

These characters have been through a lot in their lives, but their intense romance has been life-changing for both of them and I have loved watching them come together and battle the dramas that plague them, and I have been so excited to read the exciting conclusion to their story.

This will be a quick, vague review. I don’t want to give away spoilers because you just need to dive in and experience this one as two books worth of drama and anticipation comes to a head and Beck and Sela are put to the test like never before.

I think that both of us are getting ready to fall down the rabbit hole and there’s not going to be any way out for us.

This book wasn’t what I was expecting, and let me just warn you – be prepared to be frustrated beyond belief. OMG, I was annoyed at some of the choices these two made throughout this book (So. Effing. Stupid), but it certainly makes for a captivating read and I couldn’t wait to see how it was all going to play out. I was worried, anxious, heartbroken and, yes, supremely irritated, and as much as I wanted to smack the two of them, I was right there with them for their journey!

But all of that angst pays off with an ending that is totally worth of this couple. That epilogue – damn, it was sensational. And dare I hope for a spin off book for Caroline? I love her as a character, and would be all over her story if she gets her own book.

I have really enjoyed this series. Sela and Beck’s story captured my attention from the very beginning and has kept me invested the whole way through. Their story has some really unique aspects to it, and I’ve really enjoyed the drama and suspense that went hand in hand with the sexy, swoony, intense romance.

“There is no one in this world I love more than you. And I mean no one. I don’t even bother questioning why you came into my life, or the crappy circumstances we were both handed. It was fucking destiny.”

As annoying as this one was, I would probably rate it 3 stars, but watching Beck and Sela stand by each other through it all, loving each other and keeping up with their insatiable sexy shenanigans, and for the pure satisfaction of seeing the story come to its gratifying end, I’m rating it up to a 3.5.
