The final book of the Sinners series is an emotional and, unsurprisingly, a somewhat kinky ride.

Rhythm guitarist, Trey, has been a player throughout the previous books of the series. Known for being an incredibly smutty (show me a Sinner who isn’t!), bisexual man-whore, he has been trying to deal with a heartbreaking case of unrequited love for his best friend, now-happily-married, Brian.

Reagan is trying out for a position as rhythm guitarist for Exodus End, the wildly successful band featuring Trey’s brother, Dare. She not only wins the spot, but also meets Trey and falls into a mad case of insta-lust.

She laughed at Trey Mills instead of shedding her clothes and jumping into the hot tub with her ankles behind her neck. She bit her lip, suppressing the urge to slap herself in the forehead repeatedly.

With Trey determined to forget about Brian and pursue only women, he makes a play for Reagan, and although promising to take things slowly, it’s not too long before the two of them are all over each other. In true Olivia Cunning style, the sex is absolutely steaming, and even though both Trey and Reagan are trying hard to protect themselves from heartache and are holding themselves back a bit, there is some very strong emotion between them and in the grand tradition of the Sinners and their girls, they fall fast and they fall hard.

“I think it’s time I held nothing back. Do you think you can handle that?”
She laughed. “Probably not, but I’ll scrape what’s left of me back together tomorrow. Tonight I won’t hold anything back either.”

I love these characters! They are understandably nervous about being with somebody after their not-so-great histories, but they know that they want to be together, and because of that are willing to throw themselves into a relationship. And the dynamic between them is so much fun! Yes, they’re hot and heavy a lot of the time, but they are also hilarious, and Reagan gives just as good as Trey with the teasing.

“I can’t wait to see the inside of your tour bus,” Reagan said. “I usually have to suck off at least two roadies to get in to see a band.”
Trey gaped at her and she laughed.
“I’m kidding,” she said.
When he relaxed she added, “It usually only takes one.”

Trey and Reagan are great together. But as in love and committed as they are, Trey’s bisexuality is still an issue for him, and he finds himself needing more. I loved watching him battle as he tried to stay true to her and make their relationship enough, and then his heartbreak and his honesty with her when he realized that it never would be.

But Reagan is not willing to let go of her man, and she comes up with an idea for a compromise – her best friend, roommate, and ex-lover, Ethan. While they were together, she found him in bed with a man, and therefore assumed he was gay, breaking up with him but staying the best of friends. Ethan has never told her that he is actually bisexual and still madly in love with her. He and Trey have also never mentioned to her that they are wildly attracted to each other, although neither have allowed anything to happen out of respect for Reagan. And ta-daaaaa! There is our set up for the ménage relationship.

I really liked the set up, and the way the whole thing unfolded. It felt natural, with Reagan unsure and a bit nervous about how it would all work out, but everybody being honest and working hard to make their relationship work.

And the threesome scenes were sizzling! And very imaginative. I haven’t read a lot of ménage books, but I’m thinking Olivia Cunning gets bonus points for keeping things different, and always original. I did have to shake my head in disbelief at a couple of the configurations that were going on… maybe I’m just a prude? But they all seemed to enjoy themselves, so who am I to judge!

“Fan-fucking-tastic. Oh yeah. She could totally get used to this threesome thing. Even if it meant she wouldn’t be able to work for a couple of days afterward. Fucking-A, Trey rocked her world. And Ethan made it spin.”

Even though there is a bit of insta-love going on, you can feel the love and affection between the three of them, and I really loved the way they were all there for each other – each having a special relationship with each other, as well as a special relationship together. It was really beautifully written.

“I love you … what are you going to do about it?”
“I don’t know. Love you back?”
“Sounds wonderful. Tell me when you get there.”
“Almost”

As always, there is a lot of time spent on the bus with the rest of the gang, and I loved getting to see all of the boys again, as well as their partners. Everybody gets a bit of time in this one. We also get to see a lot more of Dare, Trey’s brother. He is a sensational character – caring, and incredibly supportive of his brother, with a great sense of humour.

“I don’t really mingle well.”
Dare chuckled. “Me neither. Everyone thinks I’m mysterious and deep. I’m just antisocial.”

And rumour has it that his band, Exodus End are also going to get a series. This is yet another fantastic bunch of guys, so I’m really excited to get to know them more.

I have loved this series! The Sinners are a bunch of gorgeously hot, and totally smutty rockstars, and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know them and seeing them get their HEAs one by one. And as much as I am going to miss them all, seeing Trey get his happy ending was a great way to end it. There is also a great finish off for each of the couples at the end of the book which ties things off beautifully.

I loved it – 4 stars.
