“You were the only place I wanted to come to.”

4 stars!

This is such a cute read! A best-friends-to-lovers celebrity romance it’s sweet, sexy, gorgeously romantic and blessedly angst-free, and I loved it!

Nova is a free-spirited daughter of hippies living in a longboat that she lovingly renovated, currently moored in the middle of a canal in Wales. Presley has been Nova’s best friend since their school days, and he’s now a huge Hollywood action star. When intimate pictures are released of him online, he needs to get out of LA, and he runs right to Nova.

Confined in a small boat over Christmas, Nova and Presley lose themselves in the familiarity of their close friendship, but this time there’s a tingle of something else. While they’ve both entertained fantasies of the other, and privately acknowledge that they have feelings of more than just friendship towards each other, they’ve never spoken of it or acted on it… until now.

“I caught feelings for the person who means the most to me in the world.”

I loved seeing these two finally confess their feelings and act on their attraction to each other (hot!). They already love each other deeply, and the shift to more is natural and easy, honest and heartfelt, and it feels so right for both of them. I was gleefully swept up in the romance of it all.

But Presley has a career to rescue and Hollywood is calling – as is a potential fake celebrity romance to restore his image. He and Nova have to figure out how to make their relationship work with the hurdles between them, and thank God, it’s blessedly functional as they work it all out.

This is great little read. Short and sweet with a nice amount of emotion, I finished it feeling all fluffy with a big grin on my face.

4 stars!
