Blurb

Booze, women, and brotherhood—that’s what my good friend Quinn’s bachelor party should have been.

Booze, one mysterious raven-haired woman, and an arrest—that’s what it was.

As Cam Mitchell, a New York Maverick and one of the best tight ends in the professional football league, my to-do list should be pretty simple.

Play ball.
Get laid.
Have fun.

But after one hour with a stripper named Trixie, that list of mine has shifted dramatically.

Tell Quinn to call my lawyer.
And, for the love of God, don’t get fired from the Mavericks.

I swear, I tried to make it stop there.
But one tiny thing keeps finding its way to the very top…

Find out more about the dark-haired beauty with the big blue eyes and make her mine.

Too bad it’s a hell of a lot more complicated than that.

How do you fall in love with a woman whose real name you don’t know?

Well, ladies and gentlemen…I’m about to find out.

4 stars!!

Cam Mitchell is the tight end for the New York Mavericks. He’s a responsible guy so when he gets arrested on the night of Quinn’s bachelor party, it’s definitely out of character. He just couldn’t stand by watching someone manhandle Trixie, the stripper who mesmerized him; now, he has to behave if he wants to remain on the team and he knows pursuing Trixie isn’t the best idea. Too bad he can’t seem to get her out of his mind. And it turns out Trixie has a secret that can jeopardize everything, especially when she feels a strong pull towards Cam.

I liked his eyes. Brown and inviting with just a hint of flecked gold around the rims. But I also kind of hated them.
I feared they held some sort of black magic power that could bring vulnerable, raw emotions to the surface. Or worse than that, the truth.

I couldn’t get enough of this story. The plot and characters took me by surprise and the beautiful romance was fun, sweet, sexy, and swoony. Cam Mitchell is genuine, confident, and such a great guy that I couldn’t help but fall for him and fall fast. But he is lonely. I was saddened by his longing when everyone around him seemed to have that perfect someone. And Cam wants that. So, when a certain girl starts occupying his mind, he knows he’ll do anything to get to know her.

Am I really calling the fucking strip club—for a second time—to check in on a stripper I met one time?
I might be losing my mind.

Trixie is hard working, has a good head on her shoulders, and is not was Cam expected. She is badass and fun but has a lot going on in her life that makes dating a little difficult, especially when the guy she is attracted to is in the spotlight. However, Cam makes her want things she hasn’t thought about in a while and I loved that she can’t stay away from him.

Hard lines, harsh light, and heavy makeup, I was a shell of the woman I once knew myself to be.
Cam’s questions and insight made me yearn to rediscover her.

Trixie and Cam are so good together. There is a spark when they first meet that you could feel and their chemistry is electric. They crave each other but it’s complicated. The well-written sexual tension is ever present and when things grow hotter between Trixie and Cam, they light the pages on fire.

It’s not all about the physical though and I loved watching Cam and Trixie get to know each other. Cam is wonderful with Trixie, so sweet and swoony, and wants to give her his all. Trixie has a hard time opening up but when she does I felt her emotions clear as day and I loved seeing her give Cam parts of the real her.

I should’ve left.
I should’ve ended this before it grew any deeper because, fuck, whatever was happening between Cam and me, it already felt too deep. Way too deep.
I should’ve done a lot of things, but I didn’t.
Couldn’t.
This man had burrowed himself so deep inside me, and even though I knew this wasn’t smart, I knew this was a risk, I couldn’t find a single reason to walk away from him.

They love hard but Cam and Trixie face some difficult. It’s not easy and they have to make decisions that hurt each other but in the end they are stronger than before. They love fully and unconditionally, something that couldn’t happen until they figured out the things in their lives and the wait was worth it.

All I knew was that I’d found the answer to my longing, the cure to my emptiness—the someone I’d been searching for—and I couldn’t see myself ever wanting to leave.

The epilogue was hilarious and it was so them. I loved the way everything went down and I had a giddy grin on my face and a happy heart when I turned the last page.

I have to give a shout out to the secondary characters. I loved seeing all of the Mavericks again and they added a nice lightness to the story. Quinn and Sean were their awesome selves and I loved meeting Leo Landry. I also loved Trixie’s closeness to her family and the support they give. They are a hoot together and I hope we get to see more of them.

I love the Mavericks Tackle Love series and I cannot wait for more!! Bring on Leo Landry in 4th & Girl, releasing November 20, 2018!
