Release & ARC Review: Only For Her (Only For, #4) by Natasha Madison

Only For Her by Natasha Madison is live!

This is such a gorgeous romance! An age-gap, forbidden romance between a hockey coach and his team captain’s younger sister. It’s fun, flirty, sexy and romantic, and I loved this book.

Victoria
Being offered a job in a brand-new city wasn’t something I was planning on.
Neither was meeting him at a random hotel bar that same night.
We shared a drink, flirted, and then one thing led to another.
We exchanged first names, and I escaped the next morning with a quick goodbye.
I never expected to see him again.
I especially never expected him to come face-to-face with him at my brother’s house.
As the new coach of the team.

Zane
I was the youngest coach in the NHL.
I had to focus on one thing and one thing only.
My job.
It’s the only thing I had time for.
Until I came face-to-face with the stranger I thought I would never see again.
She’s off-limits in every sense of the word.
Not just because she’s younger than me.
She’s the sister to my star player.

This is such a gorgeous romance! An age-gap, forbidden romance between a hockey coach and his team captain’s younger sister. It’s fun, flirty, sexy and romantic, and I loved this book.

This is the fourth book in the Only For series. There is some character crossover with couples from the previous books in the series (Victoria is the younger sister of Jaxon from book #1, Only For Tonight and the daughter of Manning and Evelyn from Only One Night), but this book can easily be read as a standalone.

After meeting in a bar, Zane and Victoria share an earth shatteringly steamy night together before going their separate ways the next morning when Victoria leaves California after visiting her brother and his family. It’s five months later when they see each other again, and their reunion brings a huge surprise – Victoria has moved to LA for a new job and a fresh adventure, and Zane is now the coach of the LA Warriors hockey team, where her brother is the captain. They both realise that they need to keep their distance from each other, but circumstances keep throwing them back together, and the attraction that sizzled between them so strongly when they met only continues to grow with each encounter.

It’s a fun set-up, and the chemistry is so good. They flirt and banter, and I could feel the want and longing between them. But Zane doesn’t want to mess with his team dynamics, and he’s concerned about their 15-year age gap. There’s also the issue that, at 40, he is the youngest coach in the league and he’s under intense scrutiny and doesn’t want to expose Victoria to that. But their feelings for each other can’t be ignored, and oh, I loved watching these two dance around each other.

Their coming together is sexy and emotional, and it’s not easy. They have their ups and downs, but I could understand all of it. I empathised with them, and I read with excited anticipation waiting for them to find their way back to each other.

“I’m done fighting this thing between us. I’m fucking done not being able to touch you, call you. Talk to you, kiss you. I’m fucking done with it all.”

And I love these two together! Zane may be guarded, but he has a huge heart, and the man is a filthy dirty talker. And Victoria is a wonderful match for him, a confident firecracker who challenges him and gives as good as she gets. Their chemistry is explosive, the sex is hot and frequent, and the intimacy reflects their growing closeness as their feelings for each other deepen. There’s a lot for them to work through, but I loved their journey, and loved seeing these two get their happy ending.

“You make me smile after all I want to do is fucking frown. You lift me up when I get so down it’ll be hard to fucking stand. You make me feel that all of this is going to be okay.”

I loved seeing so much of the characters from previous book. There is a great mix of real and chosen family in the group, and there’s always lots of fun moments when they’re together. Given Zane’s job, the hockey storyline is prominent, and it’s interesting and super satisfying! I really enjoyed how all of the different parts of the story came together.

This is a really fun read, and I loved it. 4 stars.

Note – I listened to it as an audiobook, narrated by Rose Dioro and Gregory Salinas, and they do a great job. This is definitely a great one to listen to.

About the Author

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
