Release & ARC Review: Right Your Wrongs (Kings of the Ice, #6) by Kandi Steiner

Right Your Wrongs by Kandi Steiner is live!

The sixth and final book in the Kings of the Ice series, this is a dramatic and emotional second-chance romance that really brings the feels. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt romance, and I got completely swept up in this story.

What happens when the youngest, most successful coach in the NHL comes face-to-face with the woman he never got over — only to find out she’s married to his new General Manager?

Everything I’ve spent my life building is suddenly at risk.

I loved Ariana Ridley long before the world knew my name. Before the NHL. Before the pressure of being one of the youngest coaches in the league. Before I learned how to survive by locking my heart down tight.

Leaving her was the hardest thing I’ve ever done — and the one choice I never made peace with.

Now she’s back.
And she belongs to another man.

My new General Manager.

I tell myself I can handle it. Discipline is my job. Control is my strength. I know how to keep my distance — how to respect the lines that should never be crossed.

But every glance drags the past to the surface. Every quiet moment reminds me the love I buried never died.

I see the cracks she tries to hide, the fear she’s learned to live with, and the way she still looks at me like I’m the one place she can breathe.

I want to protect her.
I want to fight for her.
And I want things I have no right to want.

Because if I cross that line, I don’t just risk my career — I risk shattering the woman I never stopped loving.

Some choices haunt us forever.
Some loves never let go.

And trying to right my wrongs might just ruin us both.

The sixth and final book in the Kings of the Ice series, this is a dramatic and emotional second-chance romance that really brings the feels. It’s a beautiful, heartfelt romance, and I got completely swept up in this story.

Shane is the coach of a successful NHL team. He’s driven and focused, but his life changes in a big way when he meets the wife of his new General Manager—and it’s Ariana, his college sweetheart, the love of his life and the woman he’s never moved on from.

If a heart was tied to a person, mine was inextricably bound to her – and it stopped beating the day I left her behind.

Shane and Ariana met in college and fell in soul-deep, life-changing love. They were everything to each other, until a drastic change in circumstances tore them apart. Now, it’s 20 years later and they have come back into each other’s lives, which leaves them both shaken. Shane knows he needs to keep his distance, but he’s drawn to Ari just like he always was. And when he starts to notice signs that she is not herself and may be in a dangerous situation, he knows he needs to fight for the girl he still loves so fiercely.

I am a sucker for an emotional second-chance romance, and this book had all of the heartache, longing, and emotion that I love about the genre. Despite the long separation, you can feel the connection between Shane and Ari, and I loved watching them slowly find their way back to each other.

She was mine, and I was hers, and no amount of time or distance could ever change that.

Shane is an amazing hero, and I could not have fallen any harder for him! He is sweet and caring with a huge heart, and the way he loves Ariana just melted me. He is a smitten man and not afraid to show it, and the way he owned his past mistakes and held his heart in his hands for Ariana is so, so beautiful. I swooned and sighed, and highlighted so many of his epic declarations, and I just loved him.

“I have always been yours, Ariana. My heart has never belonged to another. And I will be right here with you, by your side, until I take my last fucking breath.”

The love is there early, but it has the feel of a slow burn given Ariana’s situation. There are some serious themes in this one as she comes to terms with the fact that the man she loved and married isn’t who she thought he was, and that her life is not the one she wanted. With themes of emotional abuse and coercive control, there is some drama here, and Steiner writes it well as we watch Ari deal with her situation and slowly start to reclaim her life.

The rest of the characters from the series are a big part of the story. Shane is one of the boys, and Ari is welcomed into the girl group with open arms. The banter, text chats, and get-togethers are so much fun, and I loved seeing them living their happy endings while supporting Shane and Ari as they find theirs.

“It’s me and you again, Ari. It’s always been us.”

This is such a beautiful romance, and I loved watching Shane and Ari get the happy ending that they so desperately deserved and ached for.

Meet Kandi

Kandi Steiner is an Amazon Top 5 bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.”

She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, planning her next adventure, or pole dancing (yes, you read that right). She enjoys live music, traveling, playing with her fur babies and soaking up the sweetness of life.
