“I licked them, so they’re mine.”

5 Astro-fucking-nomical stars!!!

OMG, this is such an awesome read! Laugh-out-loud funny, characters that you can’t help but love from the moment you meet them, sizzling chemistry, epic banter and teasing, steamy hot sexy time and a beautiful, heartfelt romance with low angst. Oh, and a pygmy goat. It has everything you could possibly want, and I freaking loved it!

This book is definitely a standalone, but it follows on from Wardrobe Malfunction, with some character crossovers.

Ava Simm’s day goes from bad to worse – she is facing imminent homelessness, is fired from her job, and then in her haste to leave the studio where she works, she runs over somebody’s foot. But not just anybody, Hollywood’s bad boy, and her celebrity crush, Gabriel Evans. With a clearly broken foot, Ava insists on driving Gabe to the hospital, and amidst hilarious arguments, quips and put-downs, she agrees to move in with him to help him out while he is incapacitated. And that early dynamic is just a sign of the epicness to come.

“Your foot’s broken?” Tate chuckles.
“It wasn’t a tiny car. It was a tank.”
“He’s lying. It was my super-small and ultra-lightweight car that broke his weak foot,” Speedy tells Tate. “How small are your feet anyway?” she asks me, laughing.
“As big as my dick, which is eye-wateringly huge.”
“He wears a size ten,” Tate tells her.
“Ten and a half!” I yell.

This book is SO freaking funny. From the moment Ava and Gabe meet they are at each other, and it doesn’t stop for the whole book. Hilariously juvenile but quick, witty and increasingly dirty, I laughed out loud so many times while reading.

“Hey, pervert! My eyes are up here.”
Busted.
But I take my sweet time in raising my eyes. And, when I meet hers, I give her a cocky smile.
“I know exactly where your eyes are, Speedy. You just have great tits. It’s hard not to look at them, especially when you insist on drawing my attention to them.” I point at her cleavage.
She looks down and drops her arms. “God, you’re crass and disgusting and rude and-and…”
“You at a loss for words, Speedy? That’s a first. Hang on, let me get my camera out to capture the moment.”

Though there is an obvious animosity between them, there’s also a sizzling attraction, and the chemistry is sensational! And with the story written in dual POV we get to see exactly how they are feeling about the other, and again I couldn’t help but laugh at Gabe’s frankness.

Yes, I want to fuck her.
Sure, she’s annoying as hell. But, when her mouth is shut – or, if I had my way, full of my cock – she’s incredibly fuckable.
A total babe.

I love these characters so much! Gabe is a bit of a broody loner, but having Ava walk into his life brings a shift that he didn’t know he needed, and I loved seeing him open up to her, laughing and joking around. He’s still unapologetically crude, but it’s part of their dynamic, and it totally works for them, and Ava is strong enough to not only give it straight back to him, but to stand up for herself and calling Gabe out when he’s being an ass, and I loved that about her. She’s a wonderful heroine who absolutely shines – even with such a fantastic hero who could have so easily overwhelmed her. She has her quirks but she totally owns who she is, she’s confident, smart and funny, and I just love her.

And together, the two of them are magic. They are refreshingly honest, neither of them hold back in sharing their thoughts, and it’s both hilarious and heartwarming. Their dialogue is just gold, and their shift into friends and then more is easy, natural and paced perfectly. And when the sexual tension finally becomes too much – holy hell! Gabe is a dirty talker, with the moves to back it up, and the sexy time is seriously hot. But more than there, there is a true emotional connection between them and I just loved watching them explore that as they fell for each other.

“I want you.”
“You already have me.”

It’s not all sunshine and roses though. Gabe has demons from his past and a tendency to blow up unexpectedly, there are things they need to deal with, and there is drama that occurs outside of the relationship that impacts on them. But they deal with everything sensibly, and the drama creates intensity in the story that gives the characters a chance to shine in the way they handle each situation rather than letting it get out of control. And I love that! It’s raw and emotional, but it brings something extra to the book and it’s all really well done.

“Whatever happens, I’ll be with you, every step of the way. I’ve got your back.”
He leans his forehead against mine and breathes deeply. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but I’m so fucking glad you’re mine.”

And let’s not forget little Gucci! Ava’s pet pygmy goat is too cute for words with a huge personality all her own, and I thought she was a wonderfully fun addition to the story.

I can’t gush enough about this book. I loved every single moment, so if you’re looking for a funny, sexy, emotional and romantic read, look no further!

5 huge stars!
