4 stars!!

“Opposites attract is for magnets only.”

Lucky Suit is a sweet, lighthearted read with hilarious characters that made me laugh-out-oud and a love story that warmed my heart.

All of Kristen’s “IRL” dates set up by her grandma and her friends have all been flops even though there were some fun ideas. Now she’s trying her hand at dating apps. There’s a bit of blind dating and online dating until Kristen has two potential suitors. “Lucky Suit” is Grams’ poker buddy. He finds beauty in everything and loves taking pictures.  “Thinking man” is on the dating website and he clicks with Kristen instantly. Both entertain her with amusing remarks and they are interested in the same things she is. Now Kristen finds herself torn between two guys as she tries to figure out which one is her better match.

Lucky Suit is smart, witty fun, and thoroughly enjoyable. Whether it’s the conversations between Kristen and her two suitors or the combination of her, her mom and Grams, it was nonstop entertainment and I couldn’t keep the goofy grin off my face.

The way the story unfolds is delightful. Everything is easy between Kristen and her suitors. She gets along with both of them because they can be themselves with each other. The texts are entertaining, the banter is witty, the chemistry is hot, and the connections feel real. Just when you think you know where it is going to happen, we are thrown a curve ball. There is a major twist I didn’t see coming and it was awesome. I so enjoy being surprised in a book.

I absolutely adored Grams! She is a hoot and I loved how hip she is at her age. The dates she’s tries to set Kristen up are hilarious and original, and I seriously found myself laughing with every scene she was in. Kristen’s mom is great, too. I loved that the three of them are all up in each other’s business but they have wonderful relationships and they are there for each other. I could feel the love between them. We also get a little bit of Lulu which made me happy too because I loved her in Birthday Suit!

This audiobook is fantastic and Zachary Webber and Andi Arndt are awesome together as they pack whole lot of fun into such a short time (the audiobook is only 2 hours 25 minutes). A mix between Duet and Dual narration, it is well-paced and the delivery is perfect. The banter is authentic and the emotion is convincing as the characters are wonderfully brought to life.

Overall, Lucky Suit is all kinds of fun and I highly recommend it to rom com lovers!
