Behind the “lights, camera, action” of Hollywood lies a world of deception, love, and seduction.

Are you ready for Hollywood Royalty?

Carter

A blonde, a brunette, a redhead…he can have his pick of them all on any given night and he knows it. They wait, hoping he looks up and gives them his signature smirk, choosing them over the others because that’s his game.

Except now he’s signed the contract of a lifetime, one with a pesky little clause that says his zipper must stay up and his playboy image has got to tamp down. It’ll be fine—a piece of cake, even—he can do this and he’s almost convinced himself of that … and then she walks in the room

The new PR girl whom they’ve hired to change his image, she’s the star of all his dreams, but there’s one tiny little problem … she can’t stand him and all of his player ways.

He knows he only has thirty days to show her why they call him Hollywood’s Prince. He’s up for the challenge, so game on.

Review

5 STARS AND ALL THE FEELS!!!!

This book is a fun, steamy and emotional celebrity swoonfest that is nothing like I was expecting. It messed with my heart, but OMG it was worth it! It’s a fun, sweet, sexy, emotional ride with just the right angst to make your heart race, and an absolutely beautiful love story. I love these characters, I love their journey, and I love this book!!!

This book is the third and final in the Hollywood Royalty series. There is some very minor crossover with characters from the previous books (which you should read because they’re awesome), but this one absolutely be read as a standalone.

Carter Johnson is an ex child celebrity, now mega movie star who is about to take on the role that could launch him into super stardom. The only problem is his terrible reputation.

“He’s the biggest gigolo out there,” Sylvia says, “and he’s a PR nightmare. He was just shown on TMZ walking into a hotel with two women and then walking out six hours later with a smile on his face and a cigarette hanging from his mouth with his shirt unbuttoned. I think there were even scratch marks, and I saw at least one bite mark.”

In order to improve his reputation in the lead up to his new film, PR intern Erin is brought in to revamp his image and keep him out of trouble. It’s a nightmare assignment but the chance of a lifetime for Erin, because if she succeeds she’ll get the job of her dreams. But she’s got a massive job in front of her… with a very ticked off and unwilling client.

“For the next sixty days, you need to live the life of a monk, so you can’t have sex.”
“What?” I shriek. “What in the fuck?”
Ryan laughs. “And for the next thirty days, we are going to rebrand you.” I shake my head, hoping I heard wrong. Surely, I heard wrong.
“I don’t understand,” I say, looking at Jeff and then finally snatching the contract from in front of him. Surely, they can’t stop me from having sex. Is there a law against stopping someone from having sex? That’s not actually a thing, is it?
“Well, we are going to be working with you on how to polish your image like a shiny nickel,” Sylvia says. “And we have Erin, who is going to work with you on doing just that.”

I love this set up! From the very beginning I was fully invested in both of these characters and their fantastic dynamic. The interplay between them is so much fun – antagonistic banter with a touch of flirting – Carter is so clearly interested in Erin, but given his reputation that doesn’t mean a whole lot to her. But with them together all day every day, she gets to know him and Carter starts to let his guards down, things start to shift, and OMG it’s so awesome!

“Tell me that this isn’t one sided.” I hold my breath, waiting for her to answer. “Tell me that it’s not just in my head.” My other hand moves up to her cheek.
Her hands grab my wrists, and I think she is going to pull my hands from her face. “It’s not just you,” she says in a whisper, and I take the biggest leap of faith I’ve ever taken when I lean my head down and crush my lips to hers.

Carter is one of those a-hole characters that you can’t help but fall madly for. It’s obvious that he is carrying a lot of pain from his past. I totally get where he’s at and why he’s living the life he is, and Erin is just perfect for him! Strong, sensible, independent and not affected by his celebrity at all, she is right there with him as he starts this massive change in his life and they experience something incredibly profound together. Carter has never felt anything so honest before, he’s never experienced such raw, all-encompassing feelings, and I love watching him fall so hard.

“I don’t want to be a regret.” I shake my head. “Not with you.”
She walks to me, and I’m mesmerized by her. “Carter.” She puts her hand up to cup my cheek.
“Don’t,” I tell her. “If you touch me, it’s all going to be over.” I grab her hands in mine and hold them in front of us. “This is the first thing that I’ve had that isn’t because of who I am.”

It’s a squee-inducing romance that is full of chemistry and feels. It’s intense, and though it’s quick moving, it has the feel of a slow burn because it builds so beautifully. It’s passionate and swoony and oh-so-hot, and the fact that it’s a secret just adds to the intensity, and I loved it all!

“This thing between us is ours and only ours until we both decide to share it.

It’s not an easy ride for them though. They have some pretty huge hurdles to navigate, and oh how my heart ached for them. There is drama and angst, my heart broke (like, it literally hurt) and I actually started yelling out loud at one point, but I love the way it was handled and the way it all played out. It’s angst done right. The conflict, and the resolution of it, is such a big part of the story rather than just a tacked-on bit of drama for the sake of drama. It’s a true part of their journey and though it’s definitely hard at times, I love that we got to see it all – from their heartwrenching reactions and realisations, to working through it individually and as a couple, and I love that!

“All the good in me is because of you … You showed me what it was like to love someone without any strings attached. You showed me that, Erin.”

And all of that heartache is worth it for the absolute swoony perfection that is the HEA part of this book. There are twists and turns as it all plays out, and a number of surprises that add so much to the story, and there is something so special about Carter and Erin finding their way forward. I was completely swept up in it all and there is not one, but two beautiful epilogues which finish everything off beautifully!

“I love you because you complete me. I love you because with you, I know everything is going to be okay. I love you because no matter what life throws at me, as long as I get to spend my days and nights with you, nothing could go wrong.”

I loved this book so much. It’s something a bit different from Natasha Madison, and I was really nervous there in the middle, but she pulled it off and delivered a beautifully heartfelt story that had me completely hooked from start to finish.

Absolutely fantastic – 5 stars.
