5 stars!

This little collection of shorts and bonuses from the Consolation Duet is a must-read for any Liam and Natalie fan. A lot of the content has been published before, but here it is in one convenient, collector-loving edition, and it’s a little book of awesome. One of my all-time fave duets, and an all-time fave book boyfriend, this is a real treat, and I loved it!

Cockblocked
Previously published in the Cocktales Anthology

I freaking LOVED catching up with Liam and Natalie from The Consolation Duet! Years have passed, little Aarabelle is 17 and heading out to prom, and one of my all-time favourite male heroes is having a little trouble letting his baby girl go.

“What’s the plan?”…
“The plan is we teach the jackoff coming to take my daughter to prom how we roll around here.”
“And how do we roll, babe?” I ask.
“SEAL style.”
“Oh, Jesus,” I mutter under my breath and leave the room.

Yes, Liam is now the proud father of teenagers, and I loved seeing him as the loving yet uber-protective father.

Liam steps into the room and looks at her dress. “Where the rest of it?” he asks, waving his hand up and down.
“At the store.” The sarcasm is thick as she rolls her eyes at him.
“Funny, go back and get one that’s not missing material.”
“Dear God,” I mutter to the ceiling.
“It’s fine… It’s a dress. All the girls have them just like this.”
Liam rubs the bridge of his nose. “You look beautiful, princess. Truly. You also aren’t leaving in that.”

“You’ve helped raise her into a beautiful girl, you have to let her shine. She’s wearing the dress, put your macho crap away and knock it off.”
“She can shine wearing a sea bag.”
“Liam.” I sigh.
“Natalie.”

And along with Liam, the rest of the Salvation boys all pop in to join in the fun.

“Liam Dempsey!” I yell as he hoists his gun over his shoulder. “Are you on drugs?”
“It’s not loaded.”
“Not the point!”
“I’m just introducing the kid to what it’s going to be like to date my daughter.”
… “Come on in, son,” Jackson’s voice is booming as he pulls the boy inside.”
Aarabelle marches through them, pushing their chests so she can get there. “Don’t listen to any of them, Case. They’re all…dead to me.”

And don’t forget Liam and Natalie’s son, Shane, who is also all grown up and getting into trouble.

“No one! No. One. Other than me and your mother should be having sex in this house. No one. Do you understand?”

Liam is a proud, cockblocking father, but he’s also still a loving husband who is madly in love with his wife, and along with all of the parenting, there are some really sweet and sexy moments for Liam and Lee, and I loved every moment of this one.

A Consolation Christmas Scene

This is a sweet little read as Liam and Natalie celebrate their first Christmas as a family of four. Liam is slightly ridiculous, but sexy and romantic as all hell, and I loved getting this little glimpse into their family life together.

“So you have a thing for Chuck Norris?”
“I have a thing for men who can
fix things. Unlike my jackass husband who requires rope or duct tape.”
Liam climbs down from the ladder with a gleam in his eyes. He envelopes me as he pulls me close. “I fixed you.”

Lost Love Letters

A short letter from Liam to Natalie that is full of swoon and a bit of innuendo. *dreamy sigh*

Liam’s Diaper POV

One of the classic moments from Consolation is Liam looking after baby Aara for the first time, and the infamous diaper incident. Now we get to see the action from Liam’s POV. Love it!

A fantastic collection of bonus content, and a must-read for any Consolation fan!
