Dear Sexy AF Intern,

I know you don’t particularly care that I’m the CEO of this company, and you’re just an intern. I also know you’re not impressed by my power or my wealth, and that’s fine.

You think you’ve got me all figured out from working alongside me for two weeks, but you don’t know me. Not really.

You don’t know that I’m a single dad to twin toddlers, or that those two little girls matter more to me than this entire hotel chain.

I’m not interested in starting something deep and meaningful, but what I am interested in is the way your body reacts to mine when we’re in the same room. You probably assume the concentration on my face is work-related, when in reality, I’m figuring out which I want more – to nail you against the wall, or to bend you over my desk.

While you’re too disciplined to act on it, I’m not. And the night you stepped into my limo, all bets were off.

4 stars!

This is a really cute read. A boss/employee set up between a billionaire who also happens to be a single father, and a smart and sassy heroine determined to make her way in the world. It’s short, sweet and sexy, and it’s the first in a duet so beware cliffhanger, and I really enjoyed it.

Presley has just landed a position as an intern at a prestigious hotel chain. It’s a three-month unpaid internship, but it could lead to the job of her dreams, giving her not only the stability that she craves, but with a younger brother to support, she needs all of the money she can get!

Dominic Aspen is the billionaire CEO of the Aspen Hotel chain, and from the moment he lays eyes on his new intern, he knows he is in trouble. She’s gorgeous, intelligent and hardworking, and he wants her, but he knows he can’t have her. As a 26-year-old single man with twin toddlers at home, he keeps his private life strictly private, and completely separate from his work. When he needs a date, he hires an escort, and he has no interest in women or relationships.

Sparks fly between these two. Presley thinks Dominic is the sexiest thing she’s ever laid eyes on, and working closely with him day to day proves to be a challenge to her poor, neglected libido. But she’s determined to nail her internship, which is why when Dominic needs a ‘date’ for a business meeting, she agrees to help him out. But when that one meeting turns into a longer arrangement, everything is going to change.

It’s a fun set-up with some of my favourite tropes – single dad, boss/employee, fake romance – and I loved watching Presley and Dominic navigate their mad chemistry. Presley is a great heroine who is smart and relatable, and Dominic is just gorgeous as the devoted Dad struggling to find the balance between work and family

They have some great banter and the sexual tension is fantastic as Presley and Dominic fight their ever-growing attraction, leading to all kinds of fireworks when they finally get it on, but all the rules begin to change as feelings become involved, and with a devastating twist leading to a nasty cliffhanger, I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel, Seven Nights of Sin.

I listened to this as an audiobook, narrated by two of my faves – Jacob Morgan and Andie Arndt – and they do a great job as always. I’ll definitely be listening to the next one!

4 stars.
