Pain is a currency the residents of Raleigh are rich in.

For Silver Parisi, life should be simpler than ever now that Jacob Weaving is behind bars. However, corruption runs deep within Raleigh’s town limits, and power and money will turn even those sworn to serve and protect in the end.

Alex Moretti’s never had anything to lose. Kicked from foster home to foster home, beaten, broken and abandoned, he’s used to fighting for his own survival. The brutal challenges he’s had to face have hardened him. Made him a savage force to be reckoned with.

But even the strongest amongst us have a breaking point…

4 stars!

The third and final book in the Raleigh Rebels series, this book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions! From the breath-taking beginning, through heartache, shocks, drama, laughs, and heart-clenching, super-sexy romance, I was captivated, and this book finishes off Alex and Silver’s story beautifully.

“When will we have given enough? When will we have lost enough? There’s no one out there, keeping track of how much pain we’re dealt…how much we’re asked to bear…and that’s the most terrifying thing, Silver.
‘Cause if there’s no one keeping track…

…then there’s no one out there to make it stop.”

Just when you think that Alex and Silver have gone through everything they could possibly go through… it gets worse. And the beginning of this book shattered me as they truly hit rock bottom. It’s heartwrenching, and I was reading with a sense of disbelief as once again, they are dealing with the unimaginable. But, deal with it, they do, and through it they emerge a little bit broken but still strong, which is just as well, because life hasn’t finished with the hits just yet.

We’re both so bruised and battered that it feels as though we’re both going to try and support the other, only to break and unintentionally let them fall.

The high school drama continues as evil from the past comes back to confront them once again. And OMG, when will it end? I shudder to think that this book has aspects of reality because… damn. Alex and Silver are forced to face corruptness, betrayal and downright evil, and it creates a wild ride that will take all the strength they have to overcome.

But in the middle of it all, we have this absolutely incredible love story. The connection that Alex and Silver share is the cornerstone to this entire trilogy, and their love for each other is so, so, beautiful to see. And though they may be high school students, there is nothing YA about their relationship which is intense, passionate, and super steamy, which begs the question… are 17 year olds really having sex like this? I don’t know, but their incredible physical connection is an extension of everything that they feel for each other, and there is no doubting the intensity of their love.

I love him so fucking much, every small, beautiful, broken, incredible part of him.

She’s the answer to ever single question I’ve ever fucking asked.

Silver and Alex have both come a long way since this series began, and this book sees them dealing with their demons (old and new) and coming out the other side, preparing for a future together that will bring the happiness and stability that they both crave.

Side characters again play a big part, and once again Silver’s Dad, Cameron, absolutely shines. His support of his daughter and his relationship with Alex are an absolute highlight, and friendships old and new (including some very welcome cameos from Callie’s other series) create fantastic depth and great dynamics to the story.

I look wholesome, the same way Dr. Romera does. Our men both look like they just got spat out of hell because even the halls of the damned couldn’t contain them.

Through highs and lows, twists and shocks, drama and extreme emotion, Alex and Silver’s story is an unforgettable ride that shows the beauty and healing power of true love. It hurt at times, and had its moments of unreality, but their love story is beautiful and I have loved watching them on their journey.

4 stars.
