Review

5 stars!

Star Bright sucks us into the world of the rich and famous and makes us want to stay there forever. It’s a fresh, fun, sexy story filled with amazing friendships, unforgettable parties, and a wonderful romance you can’t help but root for. It’s the first book in the new Bright Young Things series, and I loved it!

Everyone wanted to know what it was like to be a Bright Young Thing.

When Levi finds an in to the one of the exclusive Bright Young Things parties in hopes of discovering the identity of Cecelia Beaten, the head of the group, it’s more extravagant than he could have imagined but what’s more surprising is the connection he has with Stella. The more time he spends with her, the more lines are crossed and what was supposed to lead to his dream job might end up breaking his heart.

This book is fantastic. With every party scene, I was transported into a new experience. From the attire to the decorations to the music, it was all glitter and glamour. The atmosphere drew me in and I wanted to experience the parties in person. I loved them!

The characters were fantastic. Stella has more money than you can imagine. She has a mysterious air about her and I was just as intrigued as Levi was. She reminds me of sunshine and I love her personality. She is nothing like I thought and the way she wanted to bring everyone together made me like her more.

Levi is a journalist for Vagabond and had a job to do that I knew was risky. But he is a fantastic hero. He is genuine and though he had preconceived notions, he knew when to accept he was wrong. He has a good heart and is just a really good, selfless guy. I loved him!

There is a spark between Stella and Levi from the very first look. I felt the invisible pull between them and loved their chemistry. Though they are from different backgrounds and didn’t let that stop them. I believed in their relationship, and though the attraction was instant, I didn’t see it as instalove. Yes, they fell fast but they started going into it as casual which made it work well.

A tug somewhere in the expanse of my chest urged me to meet her as she drifted toward me.
Not Ash.
Me.
Because if she was a north magnet, I was a south. And it seemed both of us knew it.

However, there are secrets and lies that build until they threaten to ruin everything. There is no way out of the deception and both sides have to decide what to do and whether they can overcome the challenges they face.

I pulled her closer, wanting to kiss her again. Wanting to stop the clock so we could just be here, right now, when things were simple. When we were the people we’d have been if I wasn’t lying.

Star Bright is captivating and exciting. There is mystery and surprises, tears and heartbreak, and love and laughs, and I enjoyed it all. It’s a whole new world from this author and I am so glad the series is just beginning because I want more!

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life — a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, though she’s certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
