A lost princess…

Tessana Allisand had a family once. A home. A title. A future. Until one night when everything she loved was taken from her. Secreted away to an isolated monastery in the farthest region of the realm, Tess was raised in the silence of monks and the loneliness of tragedy. And there she would have stayed if the dark magic that killed her family hadn’t finally found her.

An impossible quest…

With her identity discovered, Tessana must face the home she fled all those years ago. The Crown of Nine must return to its rightful place and Tess must be the one to carry it across the nine kingdoms. And when she arrives? She’ll need to convince a dying kingdom that the crown that has belonged to one hundred kings should be given to a queen.

A rebellious prince…

Taelon Treskinat was in love once. With a princess. The daughter of a slaughtered king. He risked everything to save her, to make sure she survived. When that same princess tumbles back into his life no longer the scared little girl he remembers from childhood, he must decide where his duty lies. With the girl that will threaten everything he knows and loves. Or the kingdom he will do anything to protect.

5 stars!

The murder of the royal family of Elysia leaves the little princess, Tessana, in the hands of peaceful monks, trying to find her place in the world. However, her place is not with the monks, it’s on the throne ruling over the nine kingdoms. Tessa’s birthright makes her the only one who can bring peace to the world but there is evil who wants to finish the job they failed when they let her get away in the first place.

With the Crown of Nine that rules over the realm and a sidekick named Oliver, Tessa goes on a quest to take back her place in the kingdom. She has it all planned out but you know what they say about best laid plans, things never go quite as you expect.

I love fantasy so Crown of One Hundred Kings is right up my alley and it did not disappoint. Tessa goes on an epic journey to reclaim what is hers but it proves more difficult than she ever imagined. From rebels and mercenaries, to unexpected allies, Tessa must face her fears and fight for what she believes in.

I ached for this realm, this realm that used to be united and prosperous. This realm whose people trusted each other. My need to change it now bloomed into an intense sense of purpose. It started in my toes and bubbled through me, rushing through my veins, filling my blood with intention and my bones with determination.

It’s an adventure full of self-discovery and growth. There are battles to be won and people to save. There is darkness that threatens everything Tessa stands for that pushes Tessa to the limit. She is strong and brave though, and her exciting and daring quest leaves you on the edge of your seat.

Along with the action and adventure, there is a glimpse into what could be an epic love story. Betrothed as children, Tessa and Taelon had their life planned out. Now, things are different and they must figure out how they fit into each other’s lives, if it’s even possible.

Tessa still has a whole heap of challenges before she sits on the throne and I cannot wait for more! It’s has a wonderful mix of light and dark, fun and feels, and I loved it!!

My quest had finally ended.
But the journey to becoming queen was just beginning.
