Everything has a reason for being, and you are mine. Without you, there is no me.

Every love story has a beginning.

Some are dark and painful.

Some are bright and beautiful.

And for some, fate intervenes, setting two people on the right path.

Our love has no ending. It’s forevermore and everlasting.

This is our story.

4 stars

This is a super-short novella, and a prequel to the upcoming full-length novel, Everlast. It’s an absolutely gorgeous introduction to Molly and Lincoln, who meet on the playground as eight-year-olds, and become the best of friends, first loves and soulmates.

What we are is so much more than best friends, or boyfriend and girlfriend. We’re two pieces of a whole. She’s the beat of my heart, just as I’m the blood that rushes through her veins. We breathe life into each other.

This novella follows them through the years, showing us key moments in the development of their relationships, right up to marriage and babies. It’s so freaking sweet, and is dripping with love and swoon. These two are absolutely perfect together, soulmates in every way, and I love that we got to see so much of their early years. And though I’m slightly terrified of the inevitable drama that is probably coming, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for them in Everlast.

“Nothing in my life could have prepared me for you, Molly … Everything has a reason for being, and you are mine.”

Beautiful. 4 stars.
