Ever since I read Red, White, and You and met Winnie’s brothers, I have been antsy to get my hands on their books! The Bet, book one in the new Winslow Brothers series featuring the youngest brother, Jude, is out and it did not disappoint.

Jude doesn’t do serious when it comes to relationships. He has seen several go up in flames and he wants nothing to do with love. Instead, he enjoys casual hookups where hearts are never involved. Sophie is a wedding and events planner who has love on the brain. She wants to fall in love and get married but she just can’t seem to find the one. When she is challenged to just go out on dates without chasing something serious, she unexpectedly runs into a guy who stripped at her sister’s bachelorette party and he opens her eyes to all the fun they can have.

Jude Winslow is the good-time guy, and he’s ready and willing to keep having them with me. But it’s never going to check all the boxes on my list, and it’s not going to end with the two of us tucked away behind a symbolic white picket fence.
I have to decide if just fun is something I can handle or not.

Jude and Sophie share a wild night and decide that having some fun together won’t hurt anyone. They are great at keeping things casual at first but before they know it, they fall hard and it ruins everything. Or does it?

I love Sophie and Jude and enjoyed getting a front row seat to their love story. They start out causal and Jude really brings Sophia out of her comfort zone in the best ways. He lets her think about something other than marriage and they have some unforgettable nights together. They really bring on the heat, maybe even more so than other books by this duo, and they enjoy every minute of each other.

The more time they spend together, the more they open up. They bring out the best in each other and before long, things start shifting and unexpected feelings break free.

Jude might just be a guy I’m having fun with, but he makes me feel more like me when I’m with him.

Jude fights his feelings and Sophia is afraid of hers and they hit a major roadblock when they finally face those feelings. The drama isn’t over the top and it doesn’t last long, and I love when these two reconnect after heartbreak.

This book is hilarious with over the top fun and so many laugh out loud moments. I love Jude and Sophie and enjoyed their journey. I also loved getting more of the Winslow brothers and more of Winnie, Wes, and Lexi, too. Add in Thatch because let’s face it, he loves getting involved, and we have more fun than we could have hoped for.

Overall, The Bet is a fantastic start to the Winslow Brothers series and I cannot wait for more. Each brother is so different and I want them all to meet the special ones who will flip their lives upside down. Especially Remy! I want him to find love after his heartbreak!! I love the idea of the fortune teller and can’t wait to see how the other stories go!
