The Holiday Brothers books are complete standalones. There is some character crossover (obviously, because they’re brothers), but they’re written in a way where there is no specific reading order, and no spoilers given for any of the brothers’ stories in any of the books, so read in any order you like!

I pride myself in being grounded. Sure, I’ve had my share of childhood fantasies. Winning an Oscar. Winning the lottery. Winning an Olympic medal for an athletic talent I have yet to discover. But the only fantasy I ever thought might actually happen was winning my brother’s best friend.

Heath Holiday.

My crush on him has ebbed and flowed over the years, but the day I started working for his construction company was the day I smothered it for good. Sort of. Mostly. It was on my to-do list. Making it a priority would have been easier had he not arrived at his family’s annual Christmas party looking ridiculously handsome in a suit.

Then he kissed me. We stepped into an alternate universe and he kissed me. I assumed the next day I’d just be Guy’s little sister again. The office newbie. Our kiss forgotten. Except he keeps showing up at my house. With gifts.

A gold bracelet carrying three jingling bells. Two dainty jeweled earrings, each shaped as a bow. And finally, he brought himself.

One brother’s best friend, asking if I can keep a secret.

This was the final of the three Holiday Brothers books that I read, and it’s another gem! A gorgeously sweet and sexy brother’s-best-friend romance, and an absolutely gorgeous read.

Stella has been in love with Heath Holiday for as long as she can remember. He is her older brother’s best friend, and she spent her entire childhood following them around, crushing on him madly from the age of 12. But he never looked at her as anything other than Guy’s little sister. Now, she’s all grown up and she’s just gotten a job working at Heath’s family’s construction company, and suddenly seeing each other every day.

Stella may think that Heath never noticed her, but in reality, he’s noticed a whole lot. He’s just been warned by her brother to keep his hands off, so that’s exactly what he’s done… until he can’t.

He stopped me again by placing a hand beside the window, trapping me between the door and his towering body. “Stella.”
“You keep saying my name.”
“I love your name.”
“I—what?”

I love this story! Heath and Stella feel so much for each other, and though they’ve kept their feelings a secret, once the first step is taken, there’s no holding back.

He studied my face. “What do you want? Tell me what you want.”
I wanted what I’d always wanted “You. I want–”
He cut me off by slamming his mouth on mine.

The chemistry is fantastic, they are honest with how they are feeling, and because they’re already such good friends, all of their awkwardness and weirdness is immediately out on the table, and I loved that! I was smiling huge as they finally act on their long-pent-up feelings and finally get what they’ve wanted for so long.

I’d been a coward for too long. A fool for not acting sooner.
Now she was fucking mine.

There is a bit of drama as they wade through the complexities of telling people, and it’s not all handled well. But it makes for great reading, and I devoured this book in a couple of hours, unable to put it down.

Such a sweet read, with a sweet, sexy and gorgeous friends-to-lovers romance. I loved it.

4.5 stars.
