He hates her…almost as much as he wants her.

Gorgeous, cocky, and fast on his way to becoming a hotshot doctor, Josh Chen has never met a woman he couldn’t charm—except for Jules f**king Ambrose.

The beautiful redhead has been a thorn in his side since they met, but she also consumes his thoughts in a way no woman ever has.

When their animosity explodes into one unforgettable night, he proposes a solution that’ll get her out of his system once and for all: an enemies with benefits arrangement with simple rules.

No jealousy.

No strings attached.

And absolutely no falling in love.

**

Outgoing and ambitious, Jules Ambrose is a former party girl who’s focused on one thing: passing the attorney’s bar exam.

The last thing she needs is to get involved with a doctor who puts the SUFFER in insufferable…no matter how good-looking he is.

But the more she gets to know him, the more she realizes there’s more than meets the eye to the man she’s hated for so long.

Her best friend’s brother.

Her nemesis.

And her only salvation.

Theirs is a match made in hell, and when the demons from their past catch up with them, they’re faced with truths that could either save them …or destroy everything they’ve worked for.

Twisted Hate is a steamy enemies with benefits/enemies to lovers romance. It’s book three in the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone. Warning: It contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for 18+.

5 steamy, snarky, chemistry-filled stars

A sexy and intense enemies-to-lovers, best-friend’s-brother romance that had me completely hooked from start to finish. Josh and Jules steam up the pages with their snark-filled passion, and I could not get enough!

This is the third book in the Twisted series. You could read this as a standalone, however there will be spoilers for the first two books in the series, so I would suggest reading them in order.

Josh is the older brother of Ava (heroine of book #1, Twisted Love), Jules is her best friend, and they detest each other. This isn’t one of those situations where two people who are at each other’s throats are secretly in love and bicker to hide the fact, this is pure loathing, and it’s so funny to watch. But when they end up unexpectedly spending time together and decide to call a truce, their entire dynamic changes, and when attraction flares, they are both stunned and appalled.

I hated this newfound effect she had on me. I’d gone years without being turned on by her, and now, I couldn’t stop fantasizing about her. I didn’t know what changed, but it was pissing me the fuck off.
… Of all the horrible things that could happen to me, being sexually attracted to Jules Ambrose topped the list. No question.

Two words, people: HATE. SEX. Holy freaking God, the spite-filled sexy times are wildly passionate, and more than a little bit filthy. Josh has a dominant streak and a love of dirty talk that had me fanning myself, and Jules is right on board as their chemistry absolutely explodes.

“Go. To. Hell,” I panted. It was the only sentence I could manage before another sharp thrust scrambled my thoughts.
His dark chuckle reverberated through me. “You’re my personal hell, Red.” He gave my hair another sharp tug. “And God help me, I don’t want to fucking leave.”

And Josh wants more.

After twenty-nine years on earth, I thought I’d experienced every type of sex possible.
Until Jules.
I didn’t even know what to call what we did.
Sex seemed too bland and generic a description. It’d been something rawer, more primal.

Jules had unlocked a darker version of me than I thought myself capable of, and now that it was out, I wasn’t sure I could ever put it back in.
It should’ve been terrifying, but it was liberating. The greatest high I’d ever experienced.

It’s no surprise where things go from here, and terms are set for a “friends-but-not-friends-with-benefits” arrangement.

“I have a proposition for you,” I said.
“No.” She didn’t look up from her screen.
“I propose we form a mutually beneficial arrangement,” I continued, ignoring her flat rejection. “As much as it pains me to admit, you weren’t terrible in bed, and I know I’m not terrible in bed. We’re both too busy to date or deal with the online dating scene. Therefore, we should enter a friends with benefits agreement. Minus the friends part.”
It was genius, if I did say so myself. The physical chemistry was there, and neither of us had to worry about the other catching feelings. We could just fuck until we got tired of it.

It’s hot, wild and uninhibited, and so awesome seeing these two together. They still bicker and fight, but there’s an intimate aspect to it now, not only because they share a secret, but they actually talk, and as they get to know each other beyond their snark-only encounters of the past, their whole relationship shifts.

I love these sorts of romances. I love the moment of realisation where things start to shift, and the smack-talk turns to emotional declarations – or in Josh’s case, possessive threats.

“You’re mine,” I said against her mouth. “Let another man touch you, Jules, and you’ll find out just how easily I can take a man’s life as I can save one.”

It’s still swoony, and the build-up and sense of anticipation as we watch everything change between Josh and Jules is fantastic! Their chemistry is epic, their sexual compatibility is clearly (and demonstrably) sizzling, but more than that, their slow emotional connection develops naturally and easily, and felt so real, and I loved watching them fall so hard for each other.

“The possibility of you is better than the reality of anyone else.”

There is some drama, both of them have demons in their pasts that they are trying to move on from, they have vulnerabilities, and they make some bad choices along the way. But it’s all a part of their journey, and as frustrated as I got, watching them work through it and allow themselves to be vulnerable with each other was so beautiful to see.

“You’re it for me. Whether it’s today, tomorrow, a year, or decades from now, that’ll never change.”

The characters from previous books appear, and there is some really nice progression for them, and the fallout of events in the first book are carried over so we get some closure there, too. I loved seeing some of those issues get resolved, and Alex and Josh together were a particular treat.

I loved this book. It’s a long one, but it’s funny, sexy, emotional, romantic and so damn entertaining, and I was captivated the whole way through. I felt so much for these two, and loved their journey as they found their HEA.

Such a great read – 5 stars!
