This is a quick, fun, steamy read that is available free from Audible Plus, and took me only an hour to listen to.

Emilia has travelled to a small town to be the maid-of-honor at her estranged best’s friend’s wedding. Looking for a bit of fun the night before the wedding, she finds a guy on a hook-up app who is gorgeous, flirtatious and witty, and who happens to be staying in the exact same hotel as her. Cutting right to the chase, they head to his hotel room where they proceed to rock each other’s worlds, before Emilia is up and out the door.

She didn’t expect a ‘morning after’ encounter – especially one where her one night stand looks a hell of a lot like the groom – and she definitely didn’t expect him to want more.

It’s a fun read, full of entertaining twists, great banter, sexy encounters and a whole heap of chemistry (though if a guy was that persistent in real life, would you not get freaked out?). For such a short story, Kennedy manages to put a nice amount of heart and character development into it, and I really enjoyed this quick read.

4 stars.
