Harlow is the daughter of Bridger’s business partner. He’s been around for a while but it’s not until she approaches adulthood that Harlow looks at Bridger in a totally different way. A way that is hot and forbidden.
Harlow is determined to lose her v-card to him. She works at the company and it makes her even more forbidden but also so tempting. The flirty encounters make it harder for him to resist and the sexual tension skyrockets. They are able to keep their hands to themselves long enough to actually get to know each other.
Lauren Blakely really knows how to take you on a wild ride. I love forbidden romances and I loved the slow burn nature of the story. They are so much more than a hookup and it allows them to explore what they really want both in a personal way as well as professional. From the age gap to the business relationship with her father, Bridger and Harlow don’t just jump into a relationship. I love the flirty texts and meetings during work when she interns at the company and it allows them to form a real friendship.
What starts as almost an obsession to have Bridger take her V-card becomes so much deeper when they get to know each other. And despite her initial mission, they become so much more than she could have hoped. There is a lot of growth for both Bridger and Harlow. While she learns what she truly wants to do and he realizes where he wants to be, these two work together to get exactly what they didn’t know they needed.
It’s a fun, lighthearted read with little drama and a lot of heart. A great start to the Virgin Society series!
